Are deaths canon in arcane odyssey?

What exactly happens to the universe when we die to a boss/NPC?

do we just, rewind time? does Chronos lend us a helping hand?

or do we go into a parallel timeline where it didn’t happen?

asking cuz argos RUINED my streak when he somehow LANDED the 3rd stage sword grab and oneshotted me :fr:

Deaths are only canon if the plot requires it

vetex said no tartarus because of story, maybe the player will be like an ancient greek hero where he canonically dies then leaves the underworld

I’d imagine deaths are non-canon, otherwise we probably would’ve gotten some indication by this point. If everyone is unaware then it’d just be a kinda pointless addition.

canonically the player dying would just be a serious injury (or descension into the underworld)

Chat is this a deepwoken reference

brain rot…

1v1 me

In taxi simulator…

1v1 me in grass cutting incremental noob…

This ain’t Madness Combat where the only way for a character to actually die is for them to be wiped out by godly lightning that destroys the entire mortal plane.

People die, it’s what they do, the player is built different because they are in a video game.

How did you managed to die to argos?

his grab hitbox was fixed and he tp killed me basically

He does have that one pretty rough grab move.
What is it, like, 300 damage?

don’t worry we just get better after a few seconds

I’m not doing the AO equivalent of a depths trial to escape every single time I die :sob:

nautilodaunts = atlanteans

i meant for the story :sob:
