Are people overreacting about the Strength Weapon Nerfs? (semi-rant)

another opinion poll, why am i making this? its because it looks like that everybody who is savant and their fucking grandpa is complaining about “ohh boo hoo i cant use this weapon anymore” as if there arent alternatives which allow them to use almost the same moves.

now, the only people who i can justify complaining about this are warlords, they were accidentally shot in the leg when bullet hit savant. strength weapons are basically meant to be used by warlords, it is literally their charm and whole gimmick. but if you are a savant complaining about this respectfully stfu.

before full release, savant was an extinct species. nobody played it, but now it looks like that everyone is on 90 magic 130 str 130 weapons. go ask your local savant strength weapon user what build they were before full release, they are 100% saying anything that isnt savant. im willing to bet that majority of people on savant now havent ever touched savant before full release.

savants entire gimmick is to be able to use everything but they are 1 or 2 tiers behind. they should have had never been able to use ultimate arts and 4 moves on strength weapons in the first place at this level.

and about the savants who are crying over the weapon nerf. nobody is forcing you to play strength weapons. you can literally use the same moves but on a different weapon, oh boo hoo you cant use colossal cleave that move is only good at destroying peoples computers.

  • Yes, People are overreacting.
  • No. They have a reasonable reaction to it.

While I do think it’s an overreaction, I think it’s understandable that people feel negative towards the nerf. It’s very not fun to have your abilities taken away, but I think that at the end of the day this nerf made some sense.

i dont blame them for it but you will LIVE bro :sob:

I do agree that it was an overreaction, but the 65 scaling was too understandably high (hence the decrease to 60 in balancing polls).

Most of the backlash was additionally due to the fact no stat reset was given out despite a build-changing change.

ive heard deaththreats over the change were made on vetcord

no SHIT people are overreacting bro :sob:

Was 65% a good number? Not really, but it definitely wasn’t gonna go back to 50%. 60% is more reasonable in my personal opinion. I’m no saint, I definitely get mad and ranted myself about how bad some changes were, but the community as a whole handled the changes poorly.

In all honesty, I feel the community as a whole is responsible for how chaotic Full Release was. There is a reason Vetex barely interacts with the community, and the recent shitshow is a prime example of why.

I changed to savant the day before it was nerfed
I want my money back

Mage supremacy aside, I understand the warlords’ anger, but not the savants’.

Savants’ entire gimmick is being able to use any method of combat, be it magic, relics, fighting styles or weapons, and do so effectively, but at the cost of not accessing many moves on those methods.

And judging as my most liked comment ever, which became such in less than a day, calls out this exact issue of savants wanting access to every move, I think it’s a sentiment shared by a silent majority.

99% of the rant came from savant 1% came back actual warlord

While it’s annoying I choose to hold judgement until arcanium weapons. If they are 60% as well then fine this is the new standard even if it sucked to lose abilities

I’d be perfectly fine with the nerf if it only affected Savants.
But since my best friend is a Warlord, she’s been massacred, and now she can’t use any of her abilities. She’s been forced to user her stat reset to function properly.

bullet basically grazed savants (ppl found workarounds iirc) meanwhile warlords got shot in the foot

i still feel like this nerf is just a massive bandaid slapped onto the issue and its gonna become relevant again when the level cap increases + if other hybrid weapons are 50/50 then its gonna be even worse than it was

this also highlighted something i disliked abt the note system cause w/ the 65/65 split i couldn’t have towering impact on R which is where i like it, but q/e were fine to equip it to. imo the skill note system should be overhauled so im not min-maxxing allocations but idrk how exactly to go abt it

You keep the scaling and can’t orientate moves in the slots you want…

Or you lose it and get whatever lobotomized system Relics were given; which has also caused all their prices to be so damn expensive.

Make your choice.

i think arcanium weapons will be something like 3 moves and 2 spells

as a savantlord it did kinda pmo, but I adapted, and now I lowk tearing through bosses

That’s my guess yeah

2 regular hybrid scaling moves

2 spells

1 ultimate hybrid weapon skill

it barely affected my savant cause I could still get 4 skills on 1 lv80 str wep as a mag/str/wep savant while still having access to 2 skills on lv50 weapons,
its just that the change was done so abruptly without much further thought on how it affects warlords and how they didnt even bother sending out compensation (stat resets) even though it literally affects how you’re gonna have to arrange your strength and weapon stats
and alongside that it only serves as a temporary bandaid solution which falls off in the (indefinite) future when level caps increase

im only sad warlord got hit in the crossfire and is now feels unusable
