I thought it was weird that the occult outfits exist.
no the dungeon is “ancient” and that npc outfit is auto generated
They’re auto-generated from presets, including one that typically uses the exact items in both pictures. Creepy mask, the pants, the shirt.
And yes, the only places that we see them are “Ancient”, but the idea is “Why are their outfits all around then?”

Going from a lore standpoint, I’m guessing the order of aesir may have it’s roots in them.
Going from a “Vetexgames” standpoint, he probably just took the preexisting occult preset to make cultists. It’s a rather vague name, and there’s nothing especially unique about robes, a mask and some armbands. There can be more than one cult.
But it’s not randomized, they have outfit presets and there’s a chance for the preset to be

I’ve seen really tiny weeny topics, but it’s only an issue when I do it, and only when you reply.
i think the current forums organization dosen’t really support a theories thing rn, having one topic would be pretty inconvient for using, a category would serve better for that
you’re just far more consistient in making small topics compared to people who have like 2 total posts making “how/why does ___??”

also i do like to imagine any occult deckhands as being somewhat cultish, glad im not the only one who thought that way
posts are allowed to die away if they’re real small rather than needing someone to come by and say “should this really be here it’s way too small”. I can understanding possibly seeing it as annoying, but you could also just ignore it and let the post either naturally disappear or grow into an actual discussion
