I feel like there a few magics I just can’t wrap my head around such as balance magic like how does that even come to be?
balance reads the news everyday while sipping on coffee
thats how it knows who to beat up
My guess is it’s a type of situation where your magic energy reacts more violently based on your perception of a person, or something like that. Maybe it has something to do with how magic comes from Chaos and is “evil energy” in a sense. so negative reps harness Balance magic in a way that causes it to react strongly against people who don’t lean into the evilness of chaos, while positive reps take advantage of the fact that negative reps have more evil-oriented magic energy and the magic energy clashes more violently with each other.
Idk, I made all that up
As for magics that don’t make any sense in the lore, I can’t think of any cause Vet and Tech can just write it into the lore in a way that makes sense
Paper.
roblox studio
Void I guess? I mean it basically takes people back to a universe
This is probably how it is, since the lore for why magic like water deals damage is because the magic energy of the caster is violently colliding with the magic energy of the victim.
following to this
Ink.
Yeah, that’s the base concept I used for trying to add reasoning to balance
Now that’s a magic I want
I think balance is gonna be used a lot between guild wars over rep.
Balance is probably the one that fits the least in the universe. It’s a cool concept and all but it doesn’t really make sense. Game won’t suffer much if it doesn’t get added.
storm/blizzard magic prob
Both involve things like actual storms and things that would be really, really, REALLY hard to depict with magic circles. Also, AO is about magics that can manifest physically (lightning magic, Fire Magic, etc.), what happens when you now have magics that are literally just concepts rather than actual elements? Also, almost all magic (mutations) come from the 7 classic elements, how do things like sacrifice or balance even correlate to any element?? Are they even magic??
(TL;DR: abstract magik make no sense)
I would have to make the assumption that those magics are created from people awakening like their third mind and it so happens to correlate with their thoughts and first 2 minds. Some shadow user or even darkness had a pretty screwed up mindset and that led to things like sacrifice coming about thats the only way I can think about it
“Magic that is far more ancient and forgotten than the Lost Magics, these are extremely powerful and hard to obtain. None of these magics have creatable skills, meaning every spell for them would need to be found. Ancient Magics were extremely rare even during the Golden Age of Magic, where only a few lucky humans were given them as gifts from the gods. In modern times, the only way to learn an Ancient Magic is to learn how to control it by reading Ancient Magic Scrolls. These would be obtained extremely rarely at much higher levels from sea-based activities.”
ancient magic isn’t made by humans, gods were the ones to make these advanced forms of magic.
hades made dead revival so we can assume that gods are capable of crafting these more abstract and complex types of magic that humans would only rarely if at all come across on their own.
You have mere seconds
Push the snow objective
Anyways on my thoughts on magic that doesn’t make sense is wood let me explain tho
It would have been better for plant as a base/lost magic since wood Is one part of a plant would have been more logical to be plant instead
Coming off of your thoughts of wood it would also make no sense for paper to be a thing (thats why its being removed) but I see where your coming from with wood but I think its a pretty good edition to the magics we have wood as a base and then maybe later get something pretty abstract like nature
I think they would be gas magic. It’s true that sacrifice magic is a little weird tho.
