i suspect it’s a lost magic that vetex forgot to remove from arcanium cannon magic list for npcs
vetex hasnt made any lost magics yet (iris dosent count you cant get flare)
if he was making them i doubt he would hide the list of planned lost magics

It definitely isn’t any ancient or lost magics since they haven’t been developed outside of flare
It’s probably some water magic cannonballs that had some visual glitch (maybe the balls themselves stayed black?)

If you look closely, the cannonballs have ready fired, and are travelling towards the ship. The black dot is the residue of the cannons being fired, while the actual cannonballs are water.
Not sure why its black and not gray though
