so i was curious about how my planned lightning build would play out, i wanna be different so i didn’t want to use water so i’m looking for a second magic to put to work, right
and, i know that the wiki is REALLY good at making anything that doesn’t have a DoT look like trash even though they definitely aren’t (DoT isn’t too noticeable anyway, and shadow’s existence alone prove that claim wrong) and then i came across something that horrified me

…why does wind do less damage than light?
i know that magic size has been important throughout all of AO now but

Very good size and speed

Knockback is really good on things like pulsar and surge

the point of wind mage is not “can I kill them” it is “how fast can I send them to the 5th range of the dark sea”

Knockback can be pretty disorienting to fight against since you keep getting tossed around unwillingly

Wind also has a freeze synergy so that needs to be accounted for too

yeah I use Wind+Ice for the freeze combo (or is it snow, I think snow but…)

i mean which is worse
being unnable to do anything for 2 seconds
being unnable to see your target for 10 seconds…
I would perfer the shorter option (PvE opnion though. idk how well these play out in PvP situations)

I wish the wiki listed all magic that have dammage bufs from dammages caused by your magic… I picked light as my 2nd magic Acid would have been a much better alternative…

wind ice mage is excellent, wind conjurer is good, idfk bout windlock

yeah wind doesen’t synergize with any FStyles
because the effects we have are wet,overheating, and bleeding
