ive already accepted that arcane adventures is a thing of the past now, and I avoid playing remakes
also i still gave it a shot, it feels really uncanny. I don’t think this is a “better” version of AA in any way.

If it can turn out to actually be good and not turn out to be AR then yes,I’ll probably play it in short sessions with WoM.
I’ll give it a chance, WoM is not objectively better than AA or any remakes because both have different gameplay. AA had tons of different islands to explore, bosses, and unique pvp. WoM has/is going to have more features, more bosses, a new story, and new methods of many gameplay aspects such as grinding exp or money (crowns).
From my personal experience AA remakes have been buggy and not as enjoyable as the original but still fun in some aspects. WoM right now just doesn’t have a lot to do except pvp, grinding sunken or fishing journal, and start new files. It depends on what I’m feeling that day but I’ll say remakes shouldn’t be disregarded entirely, they have some content to enjoy.
I am new to AA/WoM. A swaddling babe, who only knows of the Old Lore through hushed whispers of sea wracked elders.
If the lore is faithful to AA I might give it a shot just to get a feeling for old mechanics.
You can always just read the google doc containing the lore as well
Oh and by the way, would you prefer to read a book, or be able to actually experience the story in said book?
I mean, that’s kinda an opinion question, and it depends on what book anyways. I was just making a suggestion to the person to read the google doc, not saying they shouldn’t play AA. About what you said with the books, I mean. If you were somehow transported into AA’s world, you’d technically be a magic less person, since everyone from our world doesn’t have magic. And even if we were to have magic, we’d be seriously underpowered compared to the Peacekeeper.
