Yeah, he totally has the right to take a break or hand the project to someone else.

But if I’m being honest, the hard part of AO is already finished (Not saying Vetex is lazy). Weapon system, magic system, hp, e.t.c. This is where most games are abandoned because of burnt outs.
The only real hurdles now are adding new contents and balance changes which are supposed to be the “fun” part of gamedev, at least from my experience

I find it kinda weird that Vetex seem to push the narrative that he is the solo developer of AO but it doesn’t seem like he is anymore.
