Wasn’t exactly about to say anymore. I know much too little about gender dysphoria to actually talk about it
There’s also HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), it basically uses regular injections, pills, etc. to replace the hormones in your body (ex. testosterone to estrogen) and i think most unknowing people would be surprised at how much its able to do (its very frequent for people to be able to pass entirely with just HRT, which is good because it’s also alot less expensive)
this is true but its going off of the assumption you NEED some form of gender affirming surgery to properly transition
As I said earlier HRT can do wonders (even if youre unlucky and dont end up passing, those people from what I’ve heard from them are still happier overall) and it’s frankly the biggest source of change in a person’s transition
The issue with this is if you have significant dysphoria this is almost a futile thing to try and control without transitioning
For myself I remember i’ve felt physically ill multiple times at the idea of continuing life without transitioning
This could also potentially lead to repression (pushing away/ignoring the fact youre even trans) whhich is alot more harmful (i did so myself for a few years when I could’ve likely had access to HRT if I wanted beforehand)
With that being said, for the people you’re talking about who can’t safely access any form of transition (HRT, social transition, gender affirming surgery in any form, etc.) there’s not much they can do. It’s a big issue and it has been getting worse unfortunately
Hopefully none of this came off as hostile or anything, I just wanted to give more insight into things because I do believe its important for us that more people understand it all better
