Art tips?(traditional art)

Could anyone give me some tips on traditional drawing? It can be anything from coloring to shading in traditional way

Use colors

  • Don’t press down hard on the paper.
  • Do lots of color testing if you’re doing that since it’s generally permanent.
  • Much harder than digital in terms of fixing things later on since you can’t adjust without erasing.
  • Learn how to manually texture things, you don’t have brushes to automate that for you

Don’t be horny while drawing.(optional)

dont be afraid to use references
no artist knows how to pull anything from their head

however, using references doesnt mean copying
you take certain parts of the picture, and translate it to your own drawing ( ie looking at poses you want for your character )

o that reminds me of the “blog” I made of English that goes over my art process

Using reference is already something I have done from starting art

I mostly knew about those

be very horny while drawing (optional)

general tips:

  • don’t press hard
  • observe your picture FOR ANY, little details
  • When painting be careful, most mistakes are permanent (in watercolor anyway)
  • When coloring with pencil color lightly to get your base shades in, similar to layers in digital art. It gives them a better looking color
  • you can also apply that with chalk pastel
  • Recommended for normal drawing/coloring you outline your rough sketch then erase the pencil lines
  • Charcoal, just shade as normal
  • I have a bunch of other stuff
  • I took art classes, but I’m trash at drawing people still ;_;
