But is something that you dislike about it as well?
My curiosity has peaked when I thought of this tbh. Had this question with me for some time and the curiosity gotten to me.
Spilling the beans.
To be honest, the only thing I enjoy about my style is color, since I’m a sucker for any color. I always try to make the color contribute to one another. (Although it seemed to never work out).
But I absolutely hated my lineart. Each time I always do the lineart, the work always look so low quality. Till a point that I just delete the entire work by how ugly the line art were. I do have other thing to complain, but that is mostly the main con I dislike.
sorry to be that guy but i like how i draw my hands in my art, ppl usually hate hands but oh my goodness gracious i love drawing them and looking at the end result
well I’ll be honest, I like not completely having a set style, it’s nice to be able to experiment around, but it also kinda bums me out sometimes because my art always looks so different and I can’t seem to stick to anything
I love how ridiculous I can make my poses but sometimes I wish I had the ability to create more realistic looking pieces or anatomically correct faces.
My faces are comically simplified as of now, though I often find that more of just a style preference than a flat out flaw.
My art is constantly fluctuating and at no point would I consider it “good”. That said, I’d say the lineart and anatomy are acceptable.
I hate my coloring and rendering, though. The few digital pieces I do SUUUUCK because the colors are whack and the shading is literally worse than those of mangas made by a 12 year old.
i like being able to have a style that is loose and captures some sort high energy!! However the tradeoff is that it’s not inherently the cleanest and my lineart can get in the way of the composition… it comes down to preference and patience at the end of the day
Your art style is honestly one of the most unique on the forums. While it’s indeed a little difficult to track with the movement and motion effects, it has three times the energy any other style has here.
Also, you don’t do thirst. Which while I don’t think thirsty art is automatically bad, I respect the restraint to not do it.
Tbh, I take a lot of pride in my style for the way I draw hair, faces and expressions. What I also like is how I shade my drawings and using lineart to amplify the shadows or add depth.
But something I could work on is my posing. I don’t know how that drawing of a Knight appears to others, but through my eyes the pose is looking kind of stiff. I could also improve my colouring and not just use the base colour for every material, so that it doesn’t look so lifeless.
(Also, it’s not technically an artstyle issue but I have to make more drawings that tells some kind of story, rather than just portraits. I like starting conversations with my art)
I have little digital drawing experience, but I like and dislike how I use vectors in my art style, specifically set lengths and angles. It makes my art look clean and simple (unless Illustrator decides to mess with me due to joins) but it limits my capabilities in drawing more natural shapes (e.g. people) like everyone else on this forum seems to do.
It helps with logo and symbol designing, though
I love drawing with pen, it gives a cool feeling to the drawing. What I dislike about it though is that I can’t manage to put it into digital art. I have the stuff I need to make digital art, but I disliked my art program. My sister ended up stealing my stuff and she said she’s not a fan of it either. It’s pretty buggy and I recently found another bug while setting up my new laptop so I don’t think I’m going to get digital anytime soon.
Something that’s both good and bad for me is that I kinda have two different art styles. One is more cartoony while the other is more realistic, but there are occasionally some times where I try blending both of them and it just doesn’t work all too well. This also leads to less practice with my art as I’m not able to consistently work on one style.
I either need to A) Focus on just one of them and maybe go back to the other or B) Try to find a way to blend the two
