Problem

Vetex halved the damage dealt through regular attacks to sea monsters while not buffing the damage dealt by attachments. Its a problem because how the hell are you gonna hunt a white eyes with a harpoon gun that deals 30 damage even if youure a pure build. And you cant use your cannons since they have a delay and the sea monster might switch directions. Even light cannons deal more damage.

Fix #1
Attachments should have their damage buffed so that it matches a medium cannon’s damage. Since you cant use them on other ships, theyre gonna be as good as hunting sharks as a medium cannon is at sinking ships. Attachments that fire slower could have an increased damage multiplier while faster ones have a lower multiplier

Fix #2(A bigger change)
Cannonballs should be replaced with ship ammunition with the cannonball in their name being replaced with ammunition. This is so that attachments are just as efficient at hunting sea monsters as cannons used to be. The damage they deal scales depending on the type of ammunition used.

Fix #3
For Vitality, it should be able to cast types of spirit nets but it would still use ammunition. Thats because it infuses spirit energy(i think) into the net.

It kind of bothers me we can’t use them properly They, as of now, just seem awkward.

He did buff the ship attachments? By 25%.

so the damage goes from around 80 to around 100.
white eyes has 3500 HP
oh yeah and there are 2 more tiers of sea monsters to go

Shark hunting clips I’ve seen look so similar to a brainless mobile game, it’s easier to just weaken the shark with magic and then kill it with an attachment imo
