Attack Size Builds are Overhated

I think people overexaggerate how bad Attack Size/size stacking builds are when Agility and Attack Speed builds exist.

At least Attack Size has actual counterplay, that being the G key. While with Agility, you pretty much lost the fight if they have more than you, and with Attack Speed, they can easily endlag demon you or barrage you with unreactable, heavily desynced attacks.

What do you guys think?

Meta i need to ask you something completely off topic

And this is a very valid point: Block, Parry, dodge

buff attack size and accuracy

attack size is way worse for people who don’t pvp competively, pls stop balacing the game as if everyone who plays the game is an elysium sweatlord.

You can also dash to avoid attacks, but both come with the caveat of using a lot of Stamina if used too much. Blocking and Parrying isn’t going to carry you forever; eventually, you’ll be using your HP for dashing and be unable to block for long, which will make you an easier target for attack size builds.

I have a severe skill issue with stamina management by the way, so that might be why I think that

i agree that agility sucks more but when compared to atk speed
atk size has:

  • way less skill required, when someone shreds you with atk speed it at least feels like they deserved the win
  • obnoxious effects that blind and lag you
  • much less fun fights, atk size vs atk size feels like a turn based slugfest while atk speed vs atk speed feels like a fast paced anime battle

also atk speed the stat feels horrible to build nowadays compared to atk size but hey that’s just my opinion i guess

ideally neither atk speed nor size wouldve ever existed, the main stats would be power and def. all attacks would be consistent and way easier to balance

nuh uh
the options add a lotta :sparkles: spice :sparkles: to builds
makes game more fun
whether or not it’s balanced is another topic

Agreed, people always make the point that “attack size lowers your skill because you don’t have to aim” and while I think there’s truth to it, most stats provides you an advantage that lowers the skill floor in some way. For example Attack speed can severely lower your punishment window with the startup and endlag reduction, making you need less overall timing awareness.

ur right but size is still the biggest crutch out of them

bro got folded to one of those builds and made a post about it cause this is the first time ive seen you make one.

In all seriousness, i agree. I think the reason why agility and attack speed are strong substats is because they help BOTH your offensive and defensive capability.

Agility lets you chase or rush with less struggle whilst giving you the option to backdash and keep your distance. In the case of bounty hunting, it lets you skedaddle.

Attack speed simultaneously offers you more opportunities to land hits in which other cases is not possible without the stat and reduces your own window of getting punished.

Attack size increases what the name implies but it does little to keep you safe besides keeping you a little bit concealed in your own abilities graphic effects.

I’d argue atk speed is more of a crutch than size because it provides multiple benefits, while atk size just makes it easier to land shots.

But, a full atk size build can be countered with blocks

A full atk speed build doesnt have any counters, on the contrary its actually good, that is the problem. needs a downside of some sort

more benefits doesn’t necessarily mean easier to use

put a size build vs a speed build against each other on two noobs and i can bet money that the size user will win

the downside rn is lack of pow and def cus atk speed fell off :broken_heart:

metapoly i still get flashbacks from your 250 size earth conj build

I’d say a clear no

put a size noob and speed noob to fight, the size noob will win

put a size pro and a speed pro to fight, the speed pro will win

this sounds like some philosophical quote

as it is and as it should be

fr actually wait

First using metal conjurer and now this, perhaps the bteam is based after all…

I want to agree but getting jumped by an attack size power agility warrior who can click r for a free 400dmg isnt very fun
