In the trello it says that ancient magics were very rare in the golden age of magics, and were only gifted by gods to lucky people. It’s possible that it were originally a primitive but had formed over time along with other magics into the present day magic circles
Well when you take this vial of light magic and you mix it with this vial of shadow magic, everything within a 10 mile radius is gone.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t react like chemicals, the finished products from most magics (ironically except light and shadow) mostly abide by common sense and some degree of physics.
Ex: Magma cooling from water, lightning electrifying water, heat magics losing energy when coming into contact with regular water, ice freezing regular water.
I say that light and shadow don’t abide by this rule because if they did:
Light magic would literally just let you blind people and that’s all, and shadow magic would… do literally nothing.

My honest mistake
Equinox is the reaction between light and shadow magic.
The magic its self is most likely just weaponizing said reaction and being able to cast it directly with just enough stability that it doesn’t blow up in your face immediately.

The reason I said that they may likely have been primitive magics is the fact that the dates of existence line up with each other. Since equinox was gifted to a lucky person as an ancient magic, it’s possible that it were an early version that the gods found out a way to balance light and darkness. It may be how it works, we don’t know

Idk, i just think since we have new magic such as diamond, sound and stuffs, meaning there is probably more than just what we see in the game so i just think it is basically infinity cause mutation and stuffs cause "each region may have different paths of mutation… on second thought since we now know that the world only have the Old Sea, Seven Seas and War Sea and the rest is just Dark Sea ( unless that image was just some placeholder ), maybe it isnt, but i would still say there are more than what we know

supermutation is basically a mutation of a mutation. A good example i can think off is theos’s arcturus magic in the aa webcomic (idk if its canon or not but that doesnt matter atm). Theos mutated his phoenix magic into arcturus. Because of the sheer power of a double mutation (supermutation) the body starts aging rapidly and youll die much sooner than a normal wizard would
I don’t think it’s explicitly canon, but let’s be honest. I don’t really see how the hell Theos is gunna take out Prometheus without something like a rare mutation backing him up.
