Beast Defense… the gameplay-affecting stat that is tied to your vanity slots.
Huh? Say that again? Your vanity slots give stats now???
Ahem, let me try that again… Vanity slots…
Vanity slots that give stats…
Wait a minute, those aren’t vanity slots!

Solution: Just Make It a Gem Stat

Why this is not a good idea

There are already a ton of gem stats

Why this is the best idea you have seen today

We can always use more gem stats
Let vanity stay vanity
Animal farming loadouts would be really funny
Don’t make vanity slots give stats
More reagents are cool
More vanity slots should not be P2W
Maybe the reagent could also give a potion effect that improves animal combat
Drip should NOT affect combat whatsoever
Metal armor is usually pretty ugly

Vanity does literally nothing but make already super easy PvE even easier

That’s the problem, it shouldn’t do anything whatsoever. Because then it’s not vanity.

then rename it to “appreance”

alrrady rambled about it with vetex and i dont think anything’s gonna change with those vanity slots giving stats

Personally think that it’s fine like this.
This and limb-protection don’t really seem like important stats, know what I mean?!
No way I’m gonna waste energy recharge or swimming speed for them.

I think that it’s actually quite nice to see them as a characteristic of some type of armor.
It gives a nice feeling of customization and personalization.

Maybe it would have been nice if different types of armor had different bonuses, not everything concentrated on metal armor only.
But maybe there are future plans for that, Idk.

Unfortunate, but that’s just how he does things

I don’t really see an issue with this becoming a Jewel stat, as long as the Reagents aren’t comically rare (looking at you, Poison Jaws Teeth)

somebody never player Warrior.

you cant use tools without your right arm, and theres no way to fix this unless you have a Tier 3+ healing pot.

this will be the same for Oracle in the future.

PvE’ing and constantly losing your ability to fight shouldnt exist because you just wanted a set of Vanity.

I think bleeding Reagents are a good piece for this.

Joke on you, my one and only file is a warrior😄

then this change is mostly negative towards you, and you should agree that not being able to play if you run out of healing pots isnt fun.

Imagine farming bears and you have to keep resetting because you ran out and cant get more right now, each death losing you a couple galleons, and adding a few extra minutes of farming.

And again, it will also affect Oracle: two different stat builds being neutered because some bear rips my arm off because i wanted to look cool and not be in full clad metal.

stupid ass feature, completely agreed, it goes against all that vanity IS supposed to be

And just so everybody is on the same Page about why this is Terrible:

Factions cant wear armor because of uniform. You shouldnt be punished for your clan/faction.

3 stats builds become unusable (until reset/healing pot) if one limb is removed. This also mildly affects all their hybrids, which is another 5 builds (Savant, Warlord, Conjurer, Juggernaut, Paladin + Warrior, Oracle, and Knight being unusable).

Regardless of if you’re not using Warrior/Oracle, Limb loss can still prevent some moves.

Limb loss ALSO breaks using most tools like fishing rods or Shovels.

So: 8 stat builds are in some form impaired, and all faction members; thats a lot of people who are impaired by a feature which is intrinsically supposed to do nothing. Especially when you realize that there’s no real indicator on metallic gear preventing limb loss or beast damage.

In before somebody brings up the damage fall-off as the player levels up. Using that response when the argument is about Vanity-based buffs is missing the point of said argument; it’s not about animals doing so much damage that certain armor is required for them, it’s about how the player has to forego how they want to look if they want less damage from bears and whatnot.

Nah cause this is a real issue.

Vanity is vanity because you want to look cool. Stat armor is for the stat. I dont wanna be forced to look like a knight or just a hunk of metal just cause I dont wanna die or lose limbs quickly to enemies. It should be based off your stat armor, cause yk, its your actual STATS

I agree
although i want to keep it on armor too so you get rewarded for not looking like a bozo while not being punished for not wearing armor

i probly wouldnt use it but holy shit this would be great

WTF THIS MAKES NO SENSE? honest 0/10.
