If he starts working on dark sea before release he should really cut corners with that because that’s going to be a really large feature and it’d take up too much time to flesh out before release
dark sea awakening and lost spells is enough those extra things can be small updates its an early beta after all
no offense to vetex but i hate it when devs keep giving a date and when it nears that date they change it

honestly i think part of the problem is roblox breaking things, he’s spent a lot of time fixing bugs and reverting changes caused by roblox causing issues.

I’m just really counting on the game releasing in February. I expected late January at first and now I’ve come to expect it.
he’ll probably add rare spells and awakenings before early access because of people complaining about magic being the same and saying the combat is bad
but yeah the dark sea can be done later and im pretty sure it will be
id rather ao release with less stuff mid-january even if it takes a month to add the rest of the stuff because of it than release in february but oh well

The story looks long enough and immersive enough to catch the attention of new players at the beginning, and maintain those entertained players until the end of the story. Lots of the islands and ships they could’ve have seen could spark curiosity which could lead to them wanting to try and see what else there is to offer in arcane odyssey.

Don’t forget, there’s a ton of stuff to still do, like fishing for sunkens, establishing a trading economy, building a guild with friends, maxing out your ships, hunting sea beasts, getting ideal crews, alongside the fact that, just in WoM exploring the map took forever, so did leveling, so even if he releases the game right now, it’d distract people long enough for him to release monthly updates that feel purposeful.

Hunting bounties, hunting for pirate ships and the right weapons, maxing the levels of your characters, making the perfect build for your files, hunting bosses, PvP for fun at the arena island, completing the story, there’s so much

Getting Maximum reputation, preparing foodstock, getting rare and valuable items, participating in events, fighting bosses, trying the game on a different save file as a new type of character be it evil good or neutral, filling out the wiki if you’re based and cool and deserve a hug, alongside the fact that there’s inviting your friends into the game and starting a new file with them to play alongside them (coolest part ever). WoM was a great base and AO will be sure to have thousands of things to do that’ll waste people’s time in the best of ways
Hope Vetex is proud of what he’s done already because I’m proud of him, even if I find somethings kinda silly/stupid (11 page lore document moment) cause like damn this game’s gonna be one of the better roblox games, certainly better than 99% of the shit that’s on there right now.

the quality of the game, even when it’s unfinished, is through the roof. the story will be well written, the gameplay will be immersive and fun involving several hours just to finish the first sea of the game.
We really need to compliment the merit put into this game, no matter how jaded vetex will be afterwards.
I seriously doubt the story’s quality but I’m not playing for the story so I don’t care lol, it’s just a excuse to drive me to going to cool places and doing fun stuff. can’t wait for new players to bother me over my expensive and cool items, and old time vets begging me to trade my headless for their most valuable items (their kidney). interacting with people and getting my shit pushed in by some nerd that’s actually good at PVP
Everything you mentioned is coming on release, including the dark sea. He won’t be releasing without at least minimum dark sea stuff
