Even prior to awakening magic choice doesn’t matter(other than the color of your energy bar lmao or arcanium ship parts) cause each build gets a unique charging animation, and if it’s a non magic build I doubt that they’d get the benefits of the magic charging you chose initially but we don’t know for sure

Magic and fighting styles are removed depending on your build. Mages, paladins lose styles; berserkers and warriors lose magic.
warriors also lose the ability to use fighting styles and magic, while non-weapon users can no longer use weapons (including shields, but with the exception of arcanium, strength, and spirit weapons)
Had a feeling warriors lost access to both, was unsure about weapons.
idk why you guys are complicating your answers but the easiest thing to say is that if it isn’t related to the stat path then it’s gone and/or at a profoundly weaker scaling where u basically do no dmg w/ it regardless of what ur gear gives you
Pretty sure you do lose magics if you aren’t a magic class
I think sailors fist coats mfs in water at high levels (not actually sure) so I’d go lightning or ice.
If you want to do weapons anything that synergizes with bleeding
