Best magic for a tank playstyle?

What magic do you think would be best for having a tank playstyle? Factor in magics that removes status ailments or have good clash rates.

Gold and magics that would help you land your hits like water/ink/wind + snow/ice or mud for lost magics.

Gold is slow and damaging, like really slow, but it loses 1 clash, is neutral to 1 magic, and is better at clashing every other magic. This means the magic could protect you if you used it to destroy other magics as well as attack.

Water, ink, and snow all remove the heat related negative effects so one of those could be worth picking up. (Burning, charred, melting, scorched, petrified)

There might be more magics that get rid of those effects but those are the ones I know.

And finally, poison could be a useful idea, because you could use large AOE moves to create clouds that damage. This would allow you to focus a bit less on attacking, and more on defending while the clouds whittle their hp down.

If you’re using the poison cloud to keep yourself hidden, beware fire wizards that can burn the cloud.

As well as wind users who can simply get rid of them.

anything goes with pure tank. there’s nothing that’s better or anything that depends on tankyness
