Best reagents for jewels?

What are the best reagents for jewels currently?

Coppershrooms, Storm salts, or aeroplatsts.

Coppershrooms are easy to get and provide a tangible bonus in fights. (Energy Regen)
Stormsalts and Auric Seaweed are also easy-ish to get, but are more suited to exploration. (Swim Speed and Water Breathing respectively)

Aeroplasts are for the funny Wind build. (Bonus Knockback)
Golden Apples are also probably really good (Blocking Power), but they’re prohibitively rare right now, so don’t bother trying to get any.

Thornflowers are easy to get, but their bonus is pretty lame (Terrain Destruction boost) so they’re used mostly for leveling.

The most common are:

  • Auric Seaweed: Air Capacity (diving spots and darksea island beaches)
  • Stormsalt: Swim speed (Darksea beaches)
  • Copper Shrooms: Energy Regen (Stepstones and Mount Othrys)
  • Luminous Coral: Climbing Speed (diving spots)
  • Golden Apples: Blocking Power (golden and maybe silver chests)
  • Aeroplasts: Knockback (Sky islands only)
  • Thronflowers: Terrain Destruction (darksea islands)

Coppershrooms provide a non-specific boost to your energy recharge, and if you can get enough of them, Golden Apples are pretty good too.

energy regen gems is so funny. I wonder if it would give energy regeneration to someone who can’t regen energy? Basically someone who hasn’t awakened.
Or is it 0*5% = 0 not 0 + 5% = 5%

It does. I had a unawakened file and while prepping some gear for calvus i put on a gem that had energy regen and it did slowly regen my energy. Though the rate was like 2 energy per second, so nowhere near what awakening does for you.

aeroplasts

get those 200% knockback boy

might give my savant a few energy regen gems though as she isn’t awakened and won’t be for a while. She still lives in redwake.

Looking at the planned build I wonder if 55% energy regen will be any good when you normally can’t regen at all.
