I’ve just maxed my 4th file and I wanna do more, but these level slumps are destroying me. Are there certain quests or is it just doomed?
honestly i just do sailor → redwake and redwake → ravenna cargos to pass the level caps
Cargo is the best way but it’s not for everyone + not much resources to work with at lower levels
As a man who has maxed out 10 files, Frostmill-Stepstones is the most easiest slump and Sailor’s to Ravenna is the worst slump. This is how I manage every slump
Frostmill to Stepstones
When reached Lvl 20, assuming you’ve done Bring letter to Enizor, missing book, and frostmill bandits along with the story frostmill bandits quest before the slump, do the following
- Bandit beat Ice Smugglers until Lvl 30
- Get Enizor’s Quest, Frostmill Cargo to Palo, Fishing Quest, and Coconuts Quest
- Do 1st part of Enizor with Pine Cones and come back to Frostmill
- Do 2nd part of Enizor with Clams and complete the Coconut quest with it
- Go to Elm Island if no clams in Dawn Island, and to complete Edward Fishing Quest, knocking out Frostmill fishing as well
- Go to Mango Isle to complete exploration there
- Go back to Frostmill and get Enizor’s last quest
- Load Ship with Cargo if haven’t already and go to Goso Jungle for Melons
- Go to Palo Town to complete Cargo Quest, and complete Ship Fixing Quest and Banana Fetch Quest in Palo Town (may need to hold off Banana Fetch if there’s no bananas spawned, server hop later for it)
- Go back to Frostmill and get Enizor
- Easy Level 40+
Cirrus to Sailors
Assuming you haven’t done every quest in Cirrus to overlevel for Elius
- Do every quest available in Cirrus, make sure when you ENTER Cirrus for the first time that you do not pick up sky apples, only pick them up for the Fetch Quest
- Do Louis’s Sky Pumpkin quest along with Iron Leg Mentor Quest when you get to Harvest Island
- Reset/Rejoin to get back up to Cirrus to complete Louis’s Sky Pump
- Buy the Caravel at this point
- should be atleast Level 62~
Sailors to Talos
Assuming you’ve done every quest in Cirrus Island and Harvest Island, do the following
- Do the 2 Quests of Missing Hat and Planks Gathering
- Do Edward’s Upgrade Quest, and Talk to Iris when she’s at Silverhold for Exploration Completion
- Do Cernunno Side Quest, should be around Level 70 or below
- Fish or Cook to top off to Level 75
Now at this point, the slump gets real nasty, so when you’re doing Sailors to Talos, do Treasure Charts that you get that aren’t too far to help you get by to Level 75. There’s also Akursius Keep Quest and Thermo Fist Quest available at this point, but I personally save it for the Sailors to Ravenna Slump
Sailors to Ravenna
- Do Starving Woman Quest and Get Anglerfish Quest in Sailor’s Lodge
- Go to Shell Island and do the Giant Banana Fetch Quests and Camp Quest
- Before you leave, do any Treasure Charts located in Shell Island if you managed to get some
- Do Akursius Keep and Thermo Fist Quest if you haven’t done those in the previous slump
- Keep doing Treasure Charts, remember to utilize the website
- Sink ships for their Sealed as well if you’re confident enough or got a Ram (assuming you got a Caravel), make sure to get Maya’s Fortified Ship Quest just in case
This slump pretty much relies on Treasure Charts and Sealed Chests, and can either be fast or extremely slow depending on how nice the game’s RNG is
Wind-Row to Awakening
When you meet Warren in Wind-Row and tells you to meditate, do the following
- Go to Ravenna and get the Cargo to Frostmill Quest, Lord Ulricus Quest, and Pirate Ship Quest in Rubica
- Load Ravenna Cargo
- Complete Lord Ulricus Quest, Meditate, and come back to Ravenna to talk to Ulricus
- Go to Shell Island, do the cooking quest and ancient hall quest, and Meditate
- Go to Frostmill, sink any Pirate Ship you see, perhaps do Treasure Charts as you go as well
- Turn in Cargo in Frostmill, Meditate in the Spire
- Go back to Ravenna, sink Pirate ships if you haven’t completed it yet
- Complete the Cargo Quest and Pirate Ship quest if you completed it
This should either get you to 119 or just barely with 118/117, so treasure charts and sealed chests are your best friend for that, can also cook and fish to finish it off
Awakening to Max
- Do the easy Ravenna Single Use Quests
- Farm Dame or Fire Mage
TLDR, Treasure Charts and Sealed Chests is your best friend during the worst mid-late game slumps as there’s not much quests to do until you get to Ravenna itself
Also don’t forget exploration tasks
This is a great guide for new people who keep asking this, you should make an in depth post.
maybe, but Diving Points are next weekend so might have to hold on to it, I would make it a video series though
