Games that can be played at taverns with NPCs or friends such as chess, blackjack and more. In each tavern you can find “The Game master” which is the person in charge of handing out the board games to people.

You can talk to him to play a quick game with NPCs, friends or other players talking to him too. You can also choose to play for fun or spice things up a bit and wager some galleons.

You can also buy some of the board games from The game master too which you can take out and put anywhere out on the world. You cannot play with NPCs with placable board games however and will need some players with you.

Finally The game master will have a leaderboard you can view which will show “most wins against players”

Future updates can add new board games.

Reason for adding
I think it would be a fun little side activity. Maybe your on a island with your buddy’s fishing and decide to play some board games together, that would be nice. I’m also a sucker for board games in other video games for some reason so this feature would be personally awesome to me.

This will probably take a lot to be made and tbh compared to things like lost spells and magics which we all know the pvpers are dying for it will be low priority, but I’d love to see it in game.

this is defo an interesting idea that i like, but i think it can be less complicated. maybe like j have one generic board game placed on a table in certain areas (for example, simply a black and white tiled board to represent chess/checkers but w/o any of the pieces actually on the board), like taverns for example you said, as well as in captains quarters and other npc zones…sailors lodge area is a good one…and then like when you go up to it, itll prompt you with games you can play against an opposing player or an ai system–MAYBE varying in difficulty–which when selected will switch the board game into the one you selected, allowing you to play.

IDK about all this game master shit but imagine a dnd gm making a campaign in ao lmao…
