Are there going to be boats in WOM like in AA?

Unlikely, most of the game will take place on Magius.

It would be cool if we could sail the perimeter of magius to get to other places around the map instead of having to go straight across
True, but I think utilising boats would make more sense as a form of fast travel.
For example, Ironport and Westhall are opposite sides of Magius, and are both part of the Vistarian culture. This means there could possibly at some point be a sidequest that could grant you the ability to catch a ride on a merchant’s ship from one to the other, for a fee or free as a sign of gratitude.
There probably wont be any since the game takes place on a massive continent and not between islands
I would say that it’s unlikely that boats will be in WoM, but Vetex already added Pirate quests so canonically it wouldn’t make much sense to not have boats in the game bc of the lore. Having boats implies that the Pirates have places (islands) to sail to. Will these islands be accessible ingame?? Why not? These are the questions that arose for me after Vetex added the Pirate quests. I just don’t think it makes too much sense from a lore perspective unless there are other islands aside from Magius.
yeah im pretty sure somewhere on the trello horses are confirmed instead of boats but i still think it wouldve been cool to have boats to explore the perimeter of magius and the few places with big bodies of water as well as a form of transportation to those three isolated islands that hasn’t been released yet
We will probably have Bikes instead.
