Bonus Blog: A Few Hours in Haikou

So on my flight back to Australia, I had to do a layover in Haikou (which you probably know is technically my first stop).

But uh. I’ll make this quick.

The time before the plane departs to Melbourne was uh… 7-8 hours.

So:

I took a taxi to the oldest street in all of Haikou, but opposite that was a clock tower. This clock tower was built by the Nationalists.

Next to a beautiful Esplanade (idk why the lighting is like this).

Yes, Haikou is VERY tropical.

The oldest street in Haikou:

I would eventually return to the airport, and eventually Australia.
There was a feeling that I never felt that I can’t really describe with words upon seeing my homeland.

No rating for this, it’s very quick.

I did learn that I literally cannot survive tropical and humid places. So I would be half dead in places like South-east Asia and the Latin Americas.

Love these alley way streets that have stores in them, they always felt so mystical to walk down.

I suppose the phrase “I’m home” could fit.
