Shura:
at close range he will use his sword draw, to counter it dash out of the way, and then hit him
at mid-range he uses acid slash (he walks forward and slashes 5 times), to counter, dash sideways, leaving him open to attacks
at any range Shura will use the attack that covers an area in an acid cloud. Dash away from the cloud, and fire projectiles while he is stunned.
at far range, shura will teleport behind you (
) and try and attack. Dash forward when you see him throwing his smoke bomb
Iris:
at long range, she will fire beams and blasts. It is good in this fight to constantly dash and high jump.
at short range, she will use the explosion attack. Dash away from it and fire projectiles.
If you are a mage, set your explosion to pillar, for Iris is prone to burying herself in holes.
The best way to defeat Iris, because she is very destructive, is to lure her to the cliff of the iceberg and then juke her into the ice sheets below, where you can hit her from above the ice sheets while she is underwater.
Elius:
Elius is very hard to defeat the first time. The best way to defeat him is to punish him whenever he is on the ground because he will constantly dash on the pillars.
He gets on the ground when he uses his word attacks, and there is no predictable attack pattern.
Argos:
in the first phase, he will use a devastate-like attack at any range. It’s best to parry this, as it is very predictable when he attacks. In mid-range, he will dash to you and slash. You can actually cheese him with this if you juke him into the hallway and then make him try to walk you through the wall, where you can use projectiles on the wall to kill him easily. In 3rd phase, (sorry for skipping the second) he will try to suck you in with he devourer, then use an attack-like beast instinct. Spam dash as soon as you start getting pulled towards him. Dash whenever he is charging a weapon to dodge him.
Archon boi:
at mid-range, he will fire beams and ranged explosions at you. When you get knocked up by the explosions, fire projectiles down at him. Make sure to not fall off the arena, or you will be attacked by cultists.
In the second phase, constantly dash and use aoe and projectile moves.
Carina:
NO ATTACK PATTERN
use shift lock and spam projectiles
note that Carina always dashes after using a move
I have tried some ways to defeat Carina, and I decided that she usually attacks in the direction where you are going so she usually misses if you stay in place
Julian:
He’s not even a boss he just RK’s you lol
Calvus:
There is no general attack pattern
when he is charging the 500!500!500! move, hit him with a projectile, and then dash for your life
if he charges the orb attack, dash behind a column so he hits that, but still be a good distance from the column
otherwise just dash, block, and fire
Maria:
at long range she will use flintlocks so don’t stay in the same place for a long time
in mid-range she will use sword projectiles, a way to dodge this is to run sideways and dash, these are also easily parryable
she will use tentacle attacks at any range, where she has Iframes. It’s recommended that you go to the poop deck, high jump, and then start charging a projectile so you can release it when she’s done
if not, make sure you look off the ship to see where the tentacles are
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT STAY BELOW DECK BECAUSE THE TENTACLES WILL GET YOU
you can also deal a good amount of damage with melee attacks
that’s all for now, comment If I missed something
happy boss hunting!
extras by other people:
for calvus there is actually a followup pattern
if he uses the multiblast, he always uses the crash attack and the shockwave smash after. for this, you want to slowly strafe during the multiblast, then once you see him start moving, dodge to the other side of the room. then you can punish the shockwave smash with a ranged ability.
if you stay close to him, he will use the self explosion variant of the orb attack, and use the grab on his triasta.
also if he throws his triasta, step to the side and hold block, since he always follows that up with the beam attack
the pillar attack is actually why calvus is much easier to solo. it’s a very easy move to punish, but it’s nearly undodgable if you aren’t ready for it because a teammate just decided to hit him
Simply use a blast or a gun to hit him while he charges it up, and then dash towards him as soon as you see the attack connect. keep holding forward just to be sure you’re outside of the range and try to get as much damage in as possible. (@iris)
