Bounty Rant (long)

I understand the whole Idea that having a bounty means you’re a criminal but the jail time aspect is just ridiculous.

I land in Ravenna minding my business, selling my items and I get killed by a guy with 1,600 player kills, 800 hours, and 1M Fame. The part that upset me wasn’t that I got killed for the 4th time within 2 hours because I wanted to sell some useless dark sea loot that I got after 3 hours of grinding but because I had spent around 20 minutes in jail.

I mean it just makes no sense why I, a player, have to spend 5 unavoidable minutes in jail for every time I get killed. The worst part is Notoriety, it just makes no sense why the Navy doesn’t care that you have 4,000,0000 bounty until you kill a castaway (???), then you have to waste 500 Galleons just for playing the game as a Villain and doing villain activities. It just feels pointless, I’ve probably spent over 6,000 galleons on removing my 5 star notoriety that I got from killing the Navy. The Navy, who choose to come after me for opening some private chests, and slowly increase their fodder to stronger-than-boss fight monstrosities all because I killed 20 marines who came with the intent to KILL me for taking someones 6 galleons and wooden club. The worst part was that I paid off the 5 star notoriety with the 500 galleons I got while getting jumped by this kid who has too much time on his hands.

With this Deckhand update im actually thankful that I can remove my bounty. Before the updates announcement I hated farming bounty and fame because it just led to me becoming a constant target for metamancing pvp sweats when all I’m trying to do is upgrade my deckhand to a high tier and make my ship strong.

Neutral for Life.

Rant done and thank you vetex again for the deckhand update ily

Jailtime is an undeniably shitty game mechanic and I don’t understand how anybody can defend its implementation.

it is literally beyond saving, there is no way to make an involuntary concrete box timer a good mechanic and I’d love to see somebody prove me wrong lol.

Not necessarily all vetex has to do is make a silberhold or a new prison island and make it so after your in prison you have activities to do like an actual prison eating, working out, and reading maybe and that should grant exp that slightly scales with your lvl.

With multiple escape routes by teaming up with npcs and some deckhands there too to add to your crew

ok so if a player is forced to do a side activity and it actively interrupts the gameplay, they are NOT going to enjoy it.

I think it’s better than what we have currently and id even add a bail feature or something

being able to just throw some galleons away to get out of jail instantly is probably the best solution short of removing it entirely.

We already know that the grand navy is corrupt how much would it hurt to add bribery

bail is honestly a good idea

This is not jailbreak lmao but I see where you are coming from it’s incredibly boring to be sitting in a jail cell for at most 10 minutes just to be executed.

Unfortunately it’s either the game pushes for good rep or your actively go bad rep
True neutrality is not possible in AO

Jailbreak didn’t event multiple escape routes :skull:

This isn’t prison life lmao

yes but also add a chance to get a “uncorruptable” guard that wont let you out no matter the price

Good little timmy the level 13 marine stands no chance when we can rip him apart with our bare hands and go on to solo silverhold

cant rip timmy apart when we have cuffs that make us weaker then the average citizen

The game doesnt let me try

again to rip means you have to extend your arms
the cuffs limit movement so you cant
