Partner piece to the Temple Upon a Mountain
“Oh grey-eyed Athena, borne of Zeus’s head, clad in armor and wit beyond that which even the gods may hold—I have traveled far and braved many perils to speak with thee. Grant to me, oh grant to me your knowledge.”
“Very well, hold fast, and let thine’s eyes be clouded no longer.”
“I see… I see… why did you put your temple all the way out here…?”
“… S-Shut up.”
“But nay, seriously, why not just commission like… one on a more populated island? I don’t even go out here in the Dark Sea, canonically, so how-”
“Thou hath received quite enough wisdom. Begone.”
“But-”
“I said begone!”
Seriously, though, I do love it. Noticed that you’ve done a more… painterly? style for these compared to prior works, which I respect massively—those are hard to get right, and this looks really solid.
Silas: Also, why is thine symbology so tyrian as opposed to sharing the grey hue of thine eye?
Athena: I said begone! Lest peradventure thou wish I smite thee.
Silas: Anon, I am off.
Silas exits
Athena: Forsooth he vexes me.
Exeunt
