As I am now the 1,341st person to obtain the Bronze Sea Explorer title, and seeing the fairly large lack of tips on this, I will be sharing some tips I have learned from spending 97 hours looking for one treasure scroll
Mostly, I will be talking about treasure charts, and how to (hopefully) not be stuck in the grind of looking for one chart.
Tip 1: Try to complete the small islands first, and try to do it all at once. Treasure charts spawn via checking for open land, so smaller islands have a very small chance of getting the chart compared to Ravenna or Frostmill. Treasure Charts also seemingly have a higher chance of repeats every time you complete an T.C. Exploration task for an island. As an example, I spent hours looking for Akursius, but after I got it I happened to collect it multiple more times.
Tip 2: Take a break, you will be here for a while, and you very much do not want to burn out.
Tip 3: For grinding scroll chests, I take a route that goes from Ravenna, to Sailor’s Lodge, to Palo Town, to Frostmill, to Limestone Key, and back. For Ravenna, check the area around the mountain and atop the castle, for Frostmill, check the mines.
Tip 4: Get a speedy ship, you will be sailing a lot. As a sidenote, also grab a podcast or video to watch/listen to.
Not-Really-A-Tip-But-Tip 5: Fish, it’s fun. Also for the 400 hunger meal, get some sharks, colossal squid, or giant haddock. You can get these easily from castaways. It’s crazy.
This also may be a me personally thing, but hoarding is also fun! You will get a lot of items and make a lot of money grinding for this.
Anyways, thats it. Leave more tips in any replies, it’s 5 am and I may have forgot.
