I think Kai and Merlot are probably stronger than everyone other than the curse users, given that I don’t think we’re canonically capable of beating them especially now that we know levels are a lore accurate representation of strength.

1 should go to the NPC who’s doing infinite pushups in Redwake

I mostly went off of power, calvus has his 500! 500! 500!, our battle with Argos caused shockwaves across the entire fort causing it all to collapse, etc. neither of those dudes show off feats like that so that’s why I put them there

If levels weren’t at least somewhat lore accurate I’d agree, but since they Kai and Merlot are canonically stronger than 5 and below.

I think Calvus’ level was estimated to be like 350-400, which is somewhat accurate considering he’s a savant that has a lost magic, which you’d need to be very high level to achieve

Yeah but he screwed himself by trying to learn every skill, which made him like equal to a level 100 that was starved in an underground prison for a month. Kai and Merlot don’t have that problem.

Isnt Morden > Julian? He held him back and left him injured/possibly dead, right? Also, Morden just got his curse at that time.

we didnt really get to see the outcome of that battle plus morden was bitching about glass in his leg so i have a feeling julian wiped the floor with him

note: then again i am a julian lover so this might just be bias

oooh, i thought morden just destroyed julian
ig i didnt pay attention to the dialogue in that part

All we know is that Morden failed to kill Julian and that Morden was left incapacitated after the fight for 9 days.

My guess for what happened is that Morden managed to get Julian just weak enough that even though he was able to incapacitate Morden he wouldn’t have been able to beat Iris too, so he had to retreat. Thats just my guess though we really don’t know what happened.

Julian is alive and is gonna bitch Morden soon enough.

I did not realize how many fellow Julian glazers were here on the forums, I thought it was just me and one or two more people.

i used to hate julian
now he is one of my favourite characters

I’m not glazing, Vetex himself said so lmao

I know he’s alive, I’m talking about him bitching Morden

I feel like if Julian was easily dealing with Morden, he probably wouldn’t have put all of his attention of fighting him and would have instead tried to stop us from killing calvus, which was his original intention. The reason he didn’t before is due to the threat of a curse user, so that same level of threat must have stayed throughout the entire fight. So presumably, Morden was about as dangerous to Julian as he would have expected the person with the death curse to be.

Also, if Julian really did have a huge advantage over Morden, the fight would not have lasted as long as our fight with Calvus. The only reason that Julian would flee if he was winning would be if Iris showed up, and as soon as she did, her and Morden went to check on us, which was just after we beat Calvus. Even then, if Julian was winning a fight against a curse user, he wouldn’t back down when facing someone who just has a lost magic.

My conclusion is that Morden and Julian were evenly matched. It is unknown whether Julian did flee when Iris arrived or before, but it’s clear that Morden was a tough opponent for him.

I’m aware Julian totally bitching him is a joke

That said given that Morden was totally incapacitated after their fight, I’m leaning towards it was going towards Julian’s favor albeit still close.

I think that Julian was probably weaker, but used his experience as both a general and a curse user to his advantage. He may have been aiming to make sure Morden couldn’t flee or chase him by targeting his legs, with the knowledge that Morden may not know how to fly.

Oh yeah raw power wise Morden is definitely stronger, I’m just saying in overall Julian is probably the better of the two

How I feel about it is that if the fight went on longer, Morden would have won. Julian probably saw a curse user, and knew he was a threat, so his main focus during the fight was to not die, rather than to actually kill.
