ok so clashing actually is a thing(atleast on the top level), so don’t make it out to be smaller than it is. anyway the reason I’m replying here is because after some assessment it is indeed quite under average due to other magics which’re in a similliar spot like magma, iron, gold, crystal simply have superior damage, superior interactions and in crystals case it’s got nearly the same stats but 0.7x speed instead. yeah earth rn is under average, crystal being only a little bit better than it. I’d say earth could be buffed by giving it either like 1.1x dmg instead or more magic interactions. so yeah I agree earth could take a slight buff, but it’s not too weak at all right now either way
i’d say 1.2x dmg 0.7 speed and it would genuinely be a good magic and an option for pvp
that’s just completely illogical and ruins the spirit of what earth really is. It’s among the series of heavy magics, and falls behind iron, somewhere toward the lesser spectrum. earth isn’t nearly as weak as you think, especially when 90% of the combat is skill, some of the magics are there not to be unique but to fill in their role, even if similliar to others. earth is only a bit underpowered due to it having same speed penalties such as magma, but not having a good enough damage output/interactions. the thing that would fix this very slight underbalance would be a small change such as going from 0.6x to 0.7x speed. quite possibly going from 1x to 1.05x damage too. you see, the 1.2x is the same as gold, which just makes no sense, considering iron and gold are simply heavier/stronger. giving it a 5% bleed doesn’t make much sense either, from a logical standpoint
1.1x dmg, 0.8x speed
The only way I’d buff Earth rn is increase its damage multiplier by 0.05, or just not touch it until we see how people will use it in the future.
i got a quick lvl 30 earth character going and i can confirm its definitely underpowered, i think it has a bigger hitbox than most magics(im not sure tho because i’ve only used magics with particles instead of a solid) but yeah trying to hit a player with 0.6 is near impossible even when you’re close
