Wheat is a very interesting food item, in that it is a farmable source of the Recovery effect (no RNG fishing required!). It is also interesting because it changes into various types of meals the more wheat you add in a recipe, from bread to baguette to spaghetti.
Currently, the type of meal you get from wheat looks something like this.
1 Wheat - Bread
2 Wheat - Bread
3 Wheat - Baguette
4 Wheat - Spaghetti
I’d like to bring particular attention to Spaghetti, the meal you get when you fill all the cooking pot slots with wheat. This is an even more unique dish because it adds Invigorating to its list of status effects, making wheat one of the few food items that can give two different status effects.
However, it’s only a tier 1 status effect. And these aren’t very strong. So this possible niche of having a meal that gives both Recovery and Invigorating (without using fish) is fairly limited.
So we could use Seasoning to improve it, right? Maybe a Sun Caraway? Well, we can’t because it takes up all four slots. So, we can’t season Spaghetti.
I’d just like to point out the logical absurdity of that real quick, by the way. We can’t season spaghetti? Fucking spaghetti? Can’t even at least put some salt and pepper on it? Completely ridiculous.
The buff I am proposing would reduce how much wheat you need to get each “tier” of its meals. So, compared to the way it works currently, the progression would look something more like this:
1 Wheat - Bread
2 Wheat - Baguette
3 Wheat - Spaghetti
4 Wheat - Giant Spaghetti
This would allow players to add one seasoning to Spaghetti, letting that Recovery + Invigorating combination become actually useful. It’d also make more sense progression wise to not be stuck at bread for two “tiers”, and the addition of Giant Spaghetti would honestly be kinda cool.
