This would need diminishing returns/a cap tho, since otherwise we’d attain 175% near lvl 700

so if your that strong, you would be that fast ssprinting

Seems like a change that in general just makes the game faster, which seems to be the direction most people want the game to go in, while still being balanced.

Feel like this makes leveling up actually feel more like leveling up. Great suggestion.

No commentary.

ok actually giving my reasoning

i dont want pvp to become a fucking mess movement wise
this scales WAY too hard

fights would very quickly become something resembling the average dragon ball/ whatever other anime fight. this isnt inherently bad but i dont think it fits for ao or its style of pvp

aswell as islands not being designed with this in mind whatsoever, moving too fast CAN be an issue.

I think that this example doesn’t quite work, considering that this isn’t an exclusive problem with just speed. at huge levels, we are expecting to see a ton of stat inflation reaching absurd amounts. Less of a issue, more of a symptom of a greater problem with stats. A good way to deal with this could be just to have it start rounding off at higher levels in my opinion.

before anyone goes ā€œthere goes pvpers pushing for pvp changes that make pve less fun :unamused:ā€

our base movement speed already matches a brig with minmaxed speed
we can jump buildings in height and dash across every island except othrys in under a minute
like… how is this not already absurd?

Because theoretically I could go even faster

People are used to islands that dwarf orthys in the dark sea that you can wander around on for 30 minutes and not get back to where you started.

that’s a problem with the dark sea that isn’t at all reflective of hand-built bronze and nimbus sea islands

Yea I personally think that the size of the islands themselves is the issue rather than not being able to move fast enough to get across them.
