I think this is likely because there is a building team now. As far as I know, the guild update wasn’t planned to have building, as it is a large feature mainly because of the variety of building options that would need to be made.
I guess now that there is a team ready to work on such projects Vetex decided it would be better to add it sooner rather that later.
How does a building team affect in-game building?
Well, building will be just a bunch of premade building and parts of building you get to place. So more builders means the bulk of the work, which would be making the parts, will be done much faster and they can make more of them.
So even though it was planned to be added sometimes later on, because of the relative convenience a building team brings, why not make it a mini update right after the main guild update.

In AA, you got a couple of premade parts (wall pieces, cannons, etc.) and made structures out of that. Building all of the parts probably took no more than a day.

Guild update literally says basic functionality, this is much more greater than just basic so it’s not really a matter of dividing up the big update, they’re essentially two separate updates.
I really wish he kept it in the same update to be honest. But considering WoM’s playerbase is getting antsy, it makes sense to release SOMETHING to please the masses
Well yes, but I’m assuming Vetex has plans to add onto the system from AA, as he has done for almost everything in the game.
Besides, what point are you trying to make? I’m not sure but it comes off to me as if you want to say that I’m wrong for saying that, which is highly probable because the reasoning I stated in my first reply is a complete hypothetical to begin with.

At this point its for the better, vetex already said that theres not enough content for our level rn, so he shouldn’t try and increase the level cap each update or else shit would get boring fast.
