So you want to make a savant but have no clue how? Yea me neither but I can try to help
Firstly, we want magic, strength, and vitality to have 10 or 15% (not sure exactly, but that equates to at most 53 required points in these 3 stats) stats points into them. This is so we get access to all the imbuements which will be important in the future. This also means weapons may end up being your lowest stat if you don’t build for strength weapons. Not sure if not having 15% makes you lose anything from weapons as they don’t imbue
Next, I personally recommend having a good amount of spirit. Most likely you will end up with patrimony, tidestone band, and staff of night. If you but a bunch of 0 requirement moves on them, you can use most the move slots available. Around 80 should be good for most stuff, but this will probably lock you out of unique rites, I personally use 160 for flight step and rise on patrimony. Most of your skills will come from relics if you don’t build for strength weapons
As for weapons, unless you end up building for strength weapons, you will likely end using old weapons, or none at all. If you do build for strength weapons, 110 each will get you access to most skills, just make sure you still keep 15% in the other stats (doing this takes about 60% of your stats so be careful as you pretty much drop most magic.) I personally recommend a shield for less clutter and putting all your weapons in the pouch for easier access (look neither of us want to press 8 just to use one skill)
For strength and magic, it goes 2 ways. Either you build for magic or you build for strength. Building for magic means you will likely have old weapons but also fall into a zoner much better. Building strength will also probably come with less spirit for more weapons stat allowing strength weapons. I recommend 120 strength if you go with strength weapons so you can pick a fighting style of your choice. If you go magic, I recommend 80 strength, as it will let you use jab(?) It’s 80 points right?))
For my personal build, I use 160 spirit (all the movement options on patrimony), 80 strength (some good options), 90 magic (beam, because staff of night beam is 180, just out of reach), and 20 weapon. Because of this, I use a tower shield, plunderers, and a branch bow. I use the 3 spirit weapons above because of the low requirements. Magic I want wood but have ice. I use basic combat.
What should you imbue onto everything? I think it depends, and also I have no clue on some imbuements. If you have sailor style or water magic probably patrimony on that
I personally recommend spirit sense for in combat (it’s the only one I’m used to so some bias but it’s the only one that gives you an advantage in combat). If you’re looking for something in specific, use the sense that helps most. Your reflex is up to you, but the spirit one guarantees you get a defense one so use that if you want thatemphasized text
TLDR, If you build strength, you also build weapon but lose magic and spirit, and vice versa. Really long post but I felt like writing about this as savant slowly becomes more prevalent
