I understand that calvus is probably the strongest in bronze and is very strong with a savant aether magic build that has a bit of a VERY powerful curse, wasn’t he so strong because he was trained and weaponizied by the order? If so isn’t he just a puppet? Then how come his rank is so high?
His rank is most likely due to his political position within the bronze sea, as opposed to his raw physical/magical strength.

Still a puppet, in my opinion it’s either a mistake or there is something higher than a high lord
I doubt he’s the strongest as that would belong to General Julian, Vetex stated Calvus was being too focused on learning new powers than actually training as a savant.
Also just because he is a high rank does not mean he’s top dog It could be seen as the Order seeing potential in him or Calvus begged them to let him join for political benefits such as letting the Order have sailing routes opened to them for easy travels, or just money.
There probably is, we just dont know what that is yet. Like how AS/GN players can only get to the second highest rank in AS/GN cos of red council/king admiral.
Aside from that, who is the second baron under Calvus? The general consensus is Julian right? But he doesn’t ever mention the order in his lines to my knowledge.

Would be cool if julian would be the second baron but he will be even harder that way it will add a bit of a twist to the story by messing with the ranking.

bec the way that this stuff works is if you’re the king and you die your oldest son becomes the heir and calvus was trained to be strong bec he was a king also he doesnt have a curse

He is literally king of a kingdom. + There are people more important than hight lords since I see no other way they let Calvus be one of them
pretty sure calvus was the newest and weakest high lord, but like I couldn’t be the only person in the world who struggled against him the first time
I’m not saying it because of position and power it’s just that he is pretty much their puppet yet his rank is high as hell, so either it’s a mistake or there is something/someone above the high lords
