So let me explain the rules real quick, Ringo (りんご ,which means apple in Japanese) is a verbal word game where each player has to say a word that starts from the last letter of the previous word.
- So if the word “PeaR” was said, you’d have to choose a word like “Rats”. Notice how the first letter has to be the last letter of the first word. This would then continue until one player remains.
Now of course since we have unlimited time and easy access to dictionaries of sorts, we have to add some twists to this game. The first one is that the player gets to choose the wildcard that the next player has to follow. This means that the next player’s word has to be related to the wildcard in someway. The second is that, you can give hints to the remaining players in whatever form you want but not to make it too obvious.
-
[Example of One] A person says “Potato” then the color Blue, The next person can reply with “Oxygen” which is blue. Then they can say their color and pass it along to the next person.
-
If a player cannot find a word that fits the description, they will be eliminated… but can select a new word the next player will have to answer for.
-
[Example of Two] They say this fruit shines like the sun in it’s color, but I think it looks more like mars with it’s bumps. (This can be interpreted in many ways, maybe Lemon, mango, orange, etc)
Rule three, courtesy of @Archenhailor, added May 20th. The wildcard you add to the end can now be a Noun!
- [Example of Three] A player says the word “LaseR” and the Noun Waterfall, the next player can say Rainbow as it starts with the first letter of the word and relates to the Noun.
Rule four… Will be revealed tomorrow.
