Can weapon and fighting style users get as strong as curse and magic users?

how is that a bad example man :sob:

Vetex literally said that…?

Ask vetex because he said it, savants don’t necessarily have to master everything.

No, a good savant learns a few things AND then focuses on mastering them, calvus on the other hand was carried by his lost magic

I don’t think that’s how it works

Brother, VETEX said it

I literally said what vetex said as well how are you saying that’s a bad example of how savant works :skull:

I’m literally quoting vetex he said it himself “Calvus is a bad example of a savant”. :moyai:

alright then

we just talked about that bro

It took me 10 minutes to find it, stfu

That… was the entirey of my point on the second half of the first comment?

What I literally said there is that someone who chooses to train their skills outaide of their magic means they would have less time properly mastering their magic more, meaning the skills they develop on magic would be less.

So yes, of course a pure Mage who focused on magic entirely would beat someone who trained their magic less and focused on other skills, espeically when it comes to magic ability. However, this does allow the other person for more versatility and not rely on only one thing, but this becomes a problem if you overdo it like Calvus.

The more stuff you try to master, there would be less time to actually properly master a single thing.

I compared this a lot to AA’s system because it’s the closest to how it wpuld work realistically. The more you use magic or physical combat (weap/combat), you level up your skills for either one. If you focused more on magic, youd unlock more skills for magic quickly, but none for physical skills, same withthe reverse. If you balanced it out, youd get both but wont progress as fast if you focused on only one.

I honestly really hate how strength users are just inherently worse than magic users.

Like it really just stinks that you HAVE to be a certain build in order to achieve ultimate power, not a lot of diversity as you’ve said.

“Yay here’s strongest AO character number 12 who is also a mage just like every other strong character except maybe that one paladin”

Yes you just make like uh super big wall texts and it’s like super hard to understand each one of your points my brain cannot read that long texts

Sorry… I try to break them down in paragraphs as much as possible but uh, whoops

Even if I try to simplify, it still ends up long

Maybe I should sleep

Actually maybe at least wardens can compare to mages in theory but still weapon and strength users seriously need to be buffed in lore

Evolved Lost FS will be on par with Ancient Magics

Sorry, but vetex said you must be Theos clone #428 to be relevant amongst the seas
