Canonically the player is VERY strong

vetex said that we will only get to a bit below wotan’s level, we will still be able to hold our own against curse users at just level 300ish and we are going up to around 600 on max

u forgot u can in theory add on the massive and golden modifiers, with massive being around 3 times bigger than normal, arcane being about 1.5 times bigger than normal

I will fight Wotan bradar :smiling_face_with_horns: :flexed_biceps: :flexed_biceps:

no you can’t whered you get that information from

not a bit under, so much under it’s genuinely unfair to fight Wotan.

yeah… I call absolute bullshit.
Curse Users are famously INCREDIBLY strong, even at level 300 we’d struggle MAJORLY and likely lose.

Where did you even get the information that we’d be a bit under Wotan’s level at our high-point, and that we’d stand our own against a curse user at level 300?

While I do agree with you, the difference between curse users can be quite significant, they vary a lot on strength. We can already beat one curse user, so while we probably won’t be able to take on the average one at level 300 I’d imagine some of the weaker curse users we would certainly be able to be an even match for.

The only anything curse related we’ve “fought”[1] were a mindless beast with literally no proper creative control over his curse - same as if you were to give someone a 50. cal and they’d use it as a melee weapon - and someone with a curse inheritance.

  1. Still heavily unsure if the side-quests are canon to the lore ↩︎

I count having basically no control over your own actions as part of my “varied strength”
I’m not saying that the weaker curse users are that easy, just that we are currently strong enough that someone simply having a curse isn’t a free win “could beat us in their sleep” situation

Although adding on to your point, the fact that a guy with a curse who has lost his mind and is barely himself anymore is roughly on the same level of us seems like a clear message that basically any curse user who is actually in control of their actions would be too much for us right now.
