Pretty much I’ll use other mmorpg’s model of a clan system to suggest on this one while also adding more details:
Member Cap Upgrade
-
Instead of costing money to upgrade the member cap, it is now based on the infamy. This is to incentivize people to actively fight other clans for infamy considering the v1.13 infamy changes by Vetex suggests that he is planning clans to be solely for pvp.
-
With this change, the actual strongest clans are actually rewarded by having more people to be able to join them and giving a chance for leaderboard clans to dwindle in numbers with this change, giving rise to more opportunities for other guilds to reach the clan leaderboard, as currently even with the recent infamy changes, all the guilds that reached the clan leaderboard within pre-v1.13 update are suffering little to no consequences.
Clan Members Status
-
Aside from the contributions, the member tab in clans now shows if the member is online, offline or inactive for x amount of days, this is a needed feature considering most guild systems from other games have this since it signifies activity from that member. Yeah you can check their account if they’re online but why bother the need to search their name from roblox? In other words, this is one of the QoL features for clans.
-
It will be arranged with online players at the top in accordance to their rank and vice versa for offline players.
-
If the clan is in the top 20 leaderboard, clicking on the clan will show the member list from the top being the highest rank and the bottom being the lowest rank. The reason is that again, the top 20 clans in the leaderboard has suffered little to no consequences even with the recent changes to infamy in v1.13 so pretty much it’s becoming a bounty board 2.0 in this case except for clans.
-
No, they can’t complain why clans in the top 20 leaderboard are being hunted, they’re in the damn leaderboard.
Clan Bank Upgrade
-
Instead of being based around the tier of the clan, you can now upgrade them as long as you reached the max amount of galleons for the current clan bank.
-
You can upgrade them to the max level however with this change, clan members will now have an additional galleon drop whenever they’re killed and based on the rank of the member. They are as followed:
Leader is 0.5% of the current clan bank
Co-Leader is 0.4% of the current clan bank
Admin is 0.3% of the current clan bank
Elite is 0.2% of the current clan bank
Member is 0.1% of the current clan bank
This way, clan ranks actually have a purpose aside from a silly little cosmetic name when checking out the player’s rank in the player list. -
With the changes said above, clans that are made for the sole purpose of “storage” would think twice about making one. This is in accordance to making clan bank not based on infamy but rather to reaching max galleon storage.
-
The percentage shown above is reasonable too since if it’s shown on paper, for leader rank as an example would be 0.5% of 10,000 and only a mere 50 galleons lost from the storage to add on the galleon drop. However if the leader were to upgrade their clan bank to having more than 1M amount, 0.5% of 1M is 5,000. This way, clans made for the sole purpose of banking is discouraged a bit.
-
With these changes, a new status in the member tab will be added which is called “Galleons Lost” that is different to “Galleons Spent” since it is instead tracking galleons from death.
Some Notes From Me
Yeah I just dont like how clans in the top 20 leaderboard suffered only a little, yeah vetex made islands give less infamy and more on hunts but dawg, one look at the clan leaderboard and you’ll see they had no problems at all. The only thing it changed is that clans in the leaderboard are now earning infamy slower. All in all, give more risks to being in a clan.
