Intro
- Everything in italics is canon.
- Everything in bold is a joke.
- Notes must be sorted from canon to fanon to joke.
- Notes on the same subject must follow one another.
- This is a wiki post, so anyone can contribute.
Morden
-
Morden is 21 years old.
-
Morden is a Legacy of a currently unconfirmed Deity
-
Morden is the user of the Death Curse.
-
Morden is afraid of the Death Curse’s power and the changes it progressively brings about to his mind & body.
Morden headcanons (BronzePegasus)
- Morden wears covering black outfits due to having chronic coldness due to his magic energy being so attuned to shadow, this is exacerbated by the Death Curse.
- Before being abducted by The Order, Morden was something of a drifting scholar. He has a family, still living in Azura, but during his younger years he left to seek out adventure and to learn of other nations.
- During these wandering he learned how to draw in order to record memories of his wanderings.
- Morden’s divine ancestor, rather than Hades or Thanatos, is Hypnos god of sleep. Allowing him control of his own dreams, as well as being able to interact with others through dreams. Though he has not learned how to do this yet.
- Through the Death Curse, Morden is able to the many shades which wander the War Seas. Including those of Athena and Posesidon who have attached themselves to Silas, as well as his own following shades: Tucker and Thanatos.
- Morden similar to Silas acts as a vessel and anchor for Thanatos through the Death Curse, and his posistion as a Legacy.
-
Morden was good friends with You and Tucker in better times.
-
You and Tucker used to make fun of his name and demeanor. He is distraught that You have stopped.
-
Morden is from Azura, which has Germanic traits, amd is why he is named so. Seville was the one with Greek traits.
-
Morden was bitter towards Callahan because he had similar traits to Tucker. The feelings were short-lived, however, and have since dissolved.
-
Morden would have, by modern standards, Bipolar Disorder.
-
Morden hates politicians.
-
Morden is a loser but also gay which sort of makes up for it.
-
The above is why he was bothered by Iris carrying him in the escape from Ravenna, he wanted You to carry him instead
-
Morden likes to shout out his attack’s name but doesn’t because he thinks others would find it cringy (they do)
Estrid
- Estrid maintains a inn/tavern called The Red Fin in Redwake.
- While she lacks the ability to summon Magic Circles and is unskilled with fighting styles or weaponry, Estrid would be a surprisingly-competent Oracle if she ever came across a Relic.
Iris
- Iris is from Ravenna.
- Iris’ father was a professional blacksmith in Ravenna before being captured and executed.
Iris Headcanons (BronzePegasus)
- Her last name is Lasadh (Meaning flare or light up in scottish gaelic)
- The family were originally generals in the Scotland-Athens war, where they developed Flare magic as a counter to Athen’s navy.
- It is from this heritage that Iris was born with Flare magic, though she herself is not a divine Legacy.
- The family were originally generals in the Scotland-Athens war, where they developed Flare magic as a counter to Athen’s navy.
- Born in Rasna, as was her father, though his father was from Winterviel, explaing their pale skin. Iris’s mother was from Ravenna, and a rare sympathizer to the Wintervielans.
- Despite the few pictures of her around the house, Iris can’t remember her mother’s face. (Though Iris looks very similar to her.)
- Her father, Lawrence Lasadh was a blacksmith of some Renown in Rasna. Such that he was commissioned on occasion by the Bronze Legion.
- This led to him having connections to the Ulricus family, as well as one General Julian. Whom Lawrence became fast-friends with, and Iris saw as an older brother figure.
- Iris had wished to be a blacksmith ever since her ninth birthday when her father had first let her hold a hammer, and let her strike the iron blade he’d been working on. She’d broken it it with her clumsy strike, but Lawrence laughed it off, and showed her how to heat a new ingot for smithing.
- He would often use his own magic rather than a forge.
- Over the next decade Iris pratisced and learned all she could from her father, acting as his apprentice, and eventually assistant.
- It was around the time she became an assistant that she and Lawrence forged her vermillion bracelet.
- When Iris had awoken her magic, she had tried to do the same, but due to the volitile nature of Flare, ended up setting the house alight.
- This was around a year before Lawrence’s disappearance, when Iris was around nineteen.
- The flames were fought back, but much of the house was ruined. It was repairable, but it was going to be expensive, particularly as the flares had ran so hot that almost all of the smithing tools were destroyed.
- This led Lawrence to take on riskier contracts, such as comissions from nobles and even King Calvus himself. (This was dangerous due to the fact that while Lawrence had taken noble clients before, he had never worked with any as scrutinizing as the king.)
- It was a year later, just after Iris turned twenty, that her father disappeared, and the main story begins.
Lawrence History (Extended)
- It was in the same year as the house fire that Lawrence took a commission from Calvus, having been recommended by both Julian and Ulricus when it was made known that King Caesar required an out of house blacksmith.
- The design given to Lawrence was strange, a spherical device, based on manuscripts written in the ancient tounge of Greek. Unsure of its purpose, and desperate for drachma, Lawrence took the commission, and began construction on the sphere.
- However, during a meeting with Calvus to discuss the progress, Lawrence noticed a book open on the king’s desk. Taking the opportunity of the king being called away for a moment, Lawrence examined the book. It described the purpose of the sphere, it was a control mechanism. For a vessel which could sail both the sea and the sky, giving complete superiority to which ever nation controlled it.
- Calvus returned as Lawrence was reading, and explained with jubilance how it would allow for Ravenna to gain an advantage over the rest of the Warseas. Though, it disturbed Lawrence, knowing from his ancestors what Ravenna did with advantages.
- Lawrence in that moment did the only right thing, and refused to finish construction.
- Calvus was disappointed, but let Lawrence go, claiming there were many other blacksmiths on whom the king could rely.
- The design given to Lawrence was strange, a spherical device, based on manuscripts written in the ancient tounge of Greek. Unsure of its purpose, and desperate for drachma, Lawrence took the commission, and began construction on the sphere.
- Lawrence lived for the next few months, before he was quietly stolen away by the Bronze Legion to face execution. After all he knew too much about the kingdom’s plans, and besides, he was a Wintervielian dissenter.
- Iris lived in a slum outside of Rasna that was once a refugee camp for Cassia Town. Her father was from there.
- Iris’ mother died when she was young.
- “Vermillion” is actually titanium imbued with Flare Magic, an invention and traditon of her father. It is highly volatile. She continues making it to this day, most of her new armor being made of it, but if she finds enough titanium she’d start giving it out to people with no other use for it.
- Her and her father are disgraced members of the Ravennan noble house “Revora”.
- Iris took control of Your ship to sail around a small Ravenna outpost, soley to avoid a Revora vacation house. This put your ship in the path of The Forest of Masts.
- Iris is terrified of Frostmetal, which was used to destroy Rosehenge and gave everyone cold burns. They were expecting another fire.
- Iris and General Kelia are close. (Like in that one comic.)
- She hates makeup and only wears it because she’s a folk hero in the Orthys Seas. In private or when heading towards an unpopulated island, she washes it off.
Neviro
- He has an excellent way of words.
- He is descended from Winterveili royalty.
- Inbread.
- He is likely the most naïve in the main cast.
- Neviro lived with a large family in a mansion on a private island for the rich, the same one bombarded by the Navy a year ago.
- Neviro was subject to intense verbal abuse before being shown as a great spearman.
- He wants to reform Winterveil and uncover its truth to the masses.
- He lived a sheltered life and for a short amount of time, thought nothing was wrong about following Iris.
- He prefers very heavy armor, and was difficult to carry from the Castello. He would wear Omen Armor if he could find it, though he forgoes a helmet.
- He has a personal rivalry with Morden, due to the Darkness inheritance and the Death Curse.
- He wore makeup a few times, and enjoys doing so, but can’t afford much of it.
- He and Iris had grown close, but both openly don’t have any romantic feelings for each other.
- He and Morden are huge dweebs about katanas. This is Morden’s only real respect for Neviro.
Dame Caesennia
- Has never left the island of Ravenna. Wants to be stationed on a navy role.
- Likely more skilled than other centurions, as she has a unique loadout. And is 5 levels higher than the others in Ravenna.
- Her full name is “Lucia Novia Caesennia”.
- About 28 years old, which is young for a centurion, but she’s a cousin to General Julian and of the late General Veridia’s bloodline—hence, she got promoted fairly quickly.
- 5’11", broad but lean build, like an athlete, due to how often she works out instead of doing her job.
- Lightning scars on her shoulder from a training accident with Elius. She trained both him and Carina, though the latter soon switched to a fighting-style instructor.
- Favored by Argos, mostly because he never caught her slacking off.
- Headcanon courtesy of @birthdaycake : Caesennia’s into niche hobbies like learning obscure card games, or making art with unorthodox things.
- Caesennia collects information on all the islands she knows about, and has this large cork board in her room where she files what she knows and what she’d want to do if she visited the island.
- Finally leaves Ravenna as the Bronze Legion goes to defend Sameria, where she falls for a jewelcrafter woman.
- Alternatively, she and Esmerelda have a princess-knight dynamic going on where they’re both hyper-invested in seeing the War Seas.
Callahan
- Callahan was Allanon’s personal guard, and was good friends with him.
- Callahan is 17 or 18 years old, being the youngest in the cast.
- Callahan was from the sea, and is the son of an “Everet”.
- Callahan is mischeivous, and performed many “antics” with Allanon, whatever that means.
- Callahan uses Light Magic, and studied how to use it in the Library of Aneignos. He is still clumsy with it though.
- Callahan used to be fond (romantically) of Allanon, but quickly backed off after realizing that a 7 year age gap is far too much. Allanon knew this, and explained politely (he also had to break the news that he was recently betrothed. It was rough. They stayed friends.)
- Callahan enjoys travelling, and had the time of his life gliding up The Vents of Aeolus.
- Callahan would probably be the most dedicated to abolishing the Order.
- Callahan is from the Thorne Empire, and he and his father travelled upwards to spread their inventions.
- Callahan prefers light armor, like Iris, but wears the decorative armor of the Royal Guard. He’ll probably get new armor soon.
- Callahan has matchmaker tendencies. He’s the type to set up Allanon and Liara on dates. After joining Player’s crew, he’s looking forward to matching up their crewmates (or even set up allies like Morden or Iris on dates)…
Esmeralda
- Esmeralda is very respected among Skyhall Guards.
- Esmeralda is happy to see Callahan talking about You.
- Esmeralda likely will have a romantic relationship with Morden.
- Esmeralda uses rudimentary Metal Magic.
- Esmeralda isn’t suited for combat, and is a better strategist than anything.
- Esmeralda wanted to build Mistville, and is upset that Skyhallic gender roles prevent her from doing so.
- Athena’s pages would show up for Esmeralda.
- Esmeralda is happy to see Callahan talking about You because Callahan was flirting with her (she did not like that)
