“Welcome home, old friends. I can hear your voices in the water, i will… remember them until i pass- just please, don’t leave me again.”
Charybdis- or jelly, as some people in the circles i exist in have decided to call it- is one of many dragons for the current ao related project im working on- a giant leviathan beneath the waves that disguises itself as giant jellyfish at day, then unfolds during the night to hunt, using electrosignals to send prey into a locked up, near hypnotic state.
Despite this, it is… suprisingly friendly towards humans, even often remarks that it knows their literature, knows their past.
Wonder what is up with that.
Do you have anything of substance to add to this thread or are you just here to be annoying?
I’d be incredibly open to actual thoughts that are related to the thing i depicted and make concepts for (which is, by the way, simply named that) because what your doing is just sort of… rude and quite frankly makes me not want to share my works. /gen
I have made fullbody doodles of it before and do plan to create a fullbody reference- in the lore of the world im creating, Chary/Jelly would be one of the four dragons of water (aka abyssal in specific) and is currently MIA bc this giant, oversized lizard thing is just… napping.
This isn’t even the charybdis either, people just mistaked it for such due to the whirlstorms forming above it from its sheer movements- that one is still being designed and i more so plan to use the original myth as basis, similiar to my scylla design which i, can’t post here
Charybdis in Greek Mythology is more of a ship destroying whirlpool creating monster. More of a comment about the lore set up, this Charybdis if it followed the original Greek Mythology could use bioluminescence to draw in unsuspecting or inexperienced sailors before creating the whirlpool to destroy their ship and consume the crew. Maybe those same electro signals could mess with the sailor’s ability to judge a situation more accurately or with caution.
