Seems like the general consensus for this change is that a lot of PVE players seem to hate it, which is sad to see, but also understandable.
In my opinion, there should either be:
A toggle in the settings menu to turn off/on the clan-only server joining
The clan only servers should be locked to Strong+ (50k infamy or more) clans/faction subclans, so people who want more casual clans are still able to play, without ending up in the potential warzones of the clan-only servers.
For organizations/factions, members on the third tier or higher would be locked into these servers (Captain+ in the navy, Sponsors in the Asynd).
Same as above, but locked to Superior+ (150k infamy or more) clans
I personally cannot wait for this change, as it will bring about a LOT more clan versus clan combat for the empires update, with clan wars I find to be some of the most fun things to do in AO, but I also hope that a feature such as one listed above could be implemented to help protect the less PVP oriented players to a degree.
I think we should just leave it this way and all the clans that aren’t actually interested in PVP (80% of the small ones) will just die out and pvers will join clans with people who can protect them
i think it’s pretty obvious by now that clans are a pvp focused feature, and if you have no intention of pvping on your own you should find people who will do it for you
