Combat logging changes-
Combat logging is a feature meant to punish leaving combat in PvP. However, most of the time, the people who suffer from this aren’t leaving PvP. Just incredibly unlucky people. I suggest that the “in PvP” status be split into two different statuses. One for Pve activities and one for PvP activities. The Pve combat status would trigger upon fighting an NPC, boss, or NPC ship. Leaving while having this status would have little to no repercussions; the penalty on galleons and fame could be removed or decreased, and the removal of ship storage could be removed. The PvP status would remain largely the same, however, the penalty for leaving could be reduced slightly, like ship storage not being removed.
Changes to leaving during combat.
Leaving during combat is mostly accidental, be it being clipped by an attack while leaving or being hit by a ship while transferring seas. I suggest a confirmation be added when trying to leave a server while in combat through the title screen button or sea transfer.
Ex- Your going to the bronze sea and get hit by a ship without realizing it. As you pass through the sea transfer barrier and click go to the ____ sea, a message would pop up saying, " You are in combat and will suffer a penalty if you leave now. " Below this pop up would be a confirm and decline button.

Reasons to add-
At this point in the game, most players play for Pve rather than PvP, and with the addition of ship storage, many players lose out on hours of grinding for something as simple as disconnecting. Combat logging barely fulfills its role as a deterrent against leaving during combat, as 99% of the time, people who leave during combat don’t try to leave; they are forced to mainly through Roblox errors or disconnecting. Removing some of the combat logging penalties and adding confirmations to leaving could help solve these issues and help QOL.

Let me know what you guys think and where I could improve

Has happened to me before, no combat tag, didn’t see anything, left, then joined some time later to a message that said i had combat logged

It’s a nice idea but unfortunately Vetex is against this idea for some reason if I remember correctly meta who’s the head of balance said that he had talked to Vetex about this and Vetex didn’t like it well the part about splitting combat tags anyway

I mean, vetex also said before that he didn’t want to change how NPC’s hit attacks, but that changed. So it’s always possible.

Yeah true I do hope he changes his mind he also added a PvP toggle so ig anything is possible

vetex refuses to separate pvp’s combat tag from pve’s so this is where we are
oh and someone already said it.

I mean, changes could be made to combat logging even without separating PvP and Pve, like the confirmation thing or decreased penalty.

why cant we remove combat tags for npc’s entirely and make it a pvp-exclusive thing

Idk why vetex made NPC’s trigger combat anyways, maybe for regen stuff but its kinda weird.

love

also, the waves in the dark sea can trigger the combat tag if you are currently at the wheel

Yeah but why

Oh ok fair enough

Cooking (full sentence)

Lost 200 dark chests once, because of combat log. shouldve seen my face when i realized that the in-game description doesnt mentions ship’s storage as one of the penatlies for combat logging

Reason I wrote this post is because I got hit by a pirate ship like half a second before going to nimbus and losing 171 chests for logging. So annoying.
