“eugh! filthy sea dwellers constantly improving their naval technology to fight each other…”
3 days later
“WHAT! WHY DO THEY HAVE SUCH POWERFUL SHIPS? PREPOSTEROUS! A GALLEON? I THOUGHT THAT THEY ONLY HAD CARAVELS!!”
They shouldn’t be going on about how much better they are if they aren’t capable of backing it up. Of course people who fight more often will be stronger.
Even if they try to say that they are better at other things like diplomacy, they will have an even harder time proving that
as seen with europeans going to south america for the first time
The name actually comes from the fact that you are “cursed” to outlive all of your loved ones. Its a play on immortality being essentially a curse rather than the whole water thing
Source for this is on the lore doc
The magic in the water reacts with the users curse magic energy or whatever, the more powerful the user the more volatile the reaction, a rookie curse user wouldnt necessarily die immediately but someone whos really really strong would literally explode

Once again
sea curse just sounds cooler idk
I hope we get a raidable fort in the skies.
Claimable sky islands would be cool too, but the building system would need some changes for that to work, since most terraforming and defense options create stone foundations that extend endlessly downward.
Just love another curse user fr.
They probably refuse to call Curses Curses due to the whole Sea part.
“My ultimate power of the Steam Magic Cube shall stop you!”
i was right
“artifacts” maybe?
