When you edit a post, then decide to cancel the edit, this shows.
It says “what would you like to do with your post?” The first option is “Discard.” It really sounds like that would delete the post. In reality it just cancels the edit.

They could just say “Discard edit” but whatever
At first I thought that’s how it worked too
Personally I think it’s fine.
I’ve always read it as “discard whatever you were typing,” for both edits and post drafts.
