How the spell works:
Casting the spell would summon a weapon which would alter the stats and m1s of the magic while the weapon is active. The spell would have a 10-second cooldown upon summoning or unsummoning the weapon.

Magic requirement: 270 (maybe 180 specifically for conjurers)

Options:

  • Casting Style - Determines the animation for summoning the weapon, for example; conjuring an acid blade from a magic circle as if unsheathing a real sword, or pulling a huge magma lance from a magic circle in the ground.

  • Shape - Determines the weapon’s form and stats. Options would include but are not limited to: Sword, Dual swords, Spear, Shield(?), Bow, Pistol, Dual Pistols, Katana, Axe, Greatsword, Hammer, Dagger, Dual Dagger and Dual Katanas. Would also have an option to change your other spells’ visuals to suit the weapon (flying slashes and stuff).

Potential issues

This spell may be a bit too similar to arcanium weapons, but i wanted it to be an alternative to those. Also it probably doesn’t do much to be worth a spell slot.

Reason to add/change

Uhh, it would be nice to have, and also mages can already add weapon shapes to their spells so why not conjuring weapons?

Edit: To give the spell more use, maybe instead of being toggleable, casting the spell would perform a set weapon skill, like after summoning a katana, you’d immediately perform a flash strike or something idk i need ideas.

also magic lmb is like, really useless compared to its spells? little reason to waste a spell slot on it

It’s not a bad idea tbh, not much to say.

this would be pretty cool, being able to perform a free weapon skill without having to take up weapon slots

This is a really neat idea… too bad there isn’t really much reason to use m1’s once you reach the stats required

It would be cool to have this feature, however there are 3 problems that will exist due to this.

  1. Damage scaling will be all over the place. Imagine using a metal conjured weapon, it’s going to scale with aura instead of a specific weapons skill like sleight of hand.

  2. It would take up more space for magics, mages currently only have 16 moves at max for their entire kit, even with 3rd magic that would put it to 24. If mages use weapon casting with arcanium weapons, this spell would already be obsolete. Also it’s not going to be a nice time coding this.

  3. Seems a bit unfair to conjurers. Conjurers invest so much into weapons, only for mages to use the same moves the conjurers can.

Magic is superior yk, you can do everything the weapons can and even more

Mages arent going to be using arcanium weapons, im sure they will require both weapons and magic to use, like strength weapons.

For this to be fair it would have to be a conjurer exclusive lost spell.

The last we heard from Vetex mages were planned to have access to Arcanium weapons, however that was like a year ago. Not sure if plans have changed since then, but I don’t think we’ve received any updates regarding it

Just not as effectively as conjurers.

That is pretty unfair considering mages would have access to not only lost magics and spells, but also ancient magics and now arcanium weapons. If they are weapons they should require a weapon stat and a magic stat to be able to use which should be EXCLUSIVE to conjurers just as warlords get their strength weapons (and knights should get their own exclusive weapons too), and at most the mages should get mage exclusive bracelets and staffs that conduct cool blasts and beams like the aethereal ornament. (and simply because of the wide array of things mages have access to no pun intended, they should just be purely cosmetic and just act as a regular blast or beam just conjured through a staff).

They won’t be able to use weapons skills.

its pretty much useless considering we already got aura and shapes, but i guess its cool? pretty sure we’ve seen this suggestion like 50 times tho

sounds cool but I feel like this should be attributed to conjs instead, as you are “conjuring” a weapon.

I may be a mage fan, but this is too much, conjurers deserve some love too
