Hi guys today i made this post bc it was in the back of my mind for over 2 days.
I might have an answer as why hades was involed in the war of the gods :
My main basis stands on the fact that we have nothing on his wife Persephone aka the queen of the underworld. We know some stuff about Hera and the fact that she had basically made a blessing for Freedrock which comes form the mouth of the old story teller Azarel. So why the hell dont we have anything on her? in opinion she might have died before the war started or died during it. Which might have been the motivation for hades to act as villain( and again coming form me ) played both sides of the war to destroy themselves. Anyway i wana know ur opinions on and help me correct any mistakes i might have made in this
You only need to think about hades’ motivation for two seconds to realize that he’s probably doing it because he lost all his friends and family to humans using magic.
Your theory is definitely plausible, but we can’t say anything concrete cause we have almost 0 information on the War of the Gods. We don’t even know for sure what side Hades was on. I personally feel it was on Zeus’ side because he didn’t want humanity to have magic since he knew that would throw off the balance of the world (which it eventually did quite severely). Granted this is also straight up head canon theorizing until we get more info in AO.
I really hope that if/when Vetex revamps the Hades part of the post-AA story, he changes Hades’ motivation for grooming Acheron to be this. I’m sorry but the “testing the limits of dark magic” is so corny
Plus it makes complete sense, we know the gods have already lived for millions, if not billions of years. It’s only been 1600 years since the Fall of Olympus, which would probably feel like a week for Hades. Obviously the guy is still gonna be completely pissed off that, after millions of years of living, his entire family and species were wiped off the face of the Earth because humans got greedy with magic.
