“Do I have to repeat the sentence? Get some wood while I am fishing in these waters. I am not paying you just to babysit you all.”
I have a few things to share with the crew. The NPC interaction is not looking good for me. During my adventure in the Dark Sea, my supplies ran low thanks to back-to-back acidic waves and tornadoes constantly spawning in front of me. I had to stop at an island to gather supplies. I never tested the other crew commands besides repair and unloading chests.
To get more supplies quickly, I ordered five crewmates to chop down nearby trees. At first, I thought I could fish while they gathered supplies for the journey ahead… Only to realize that I have to repeat the SAME SENTENCE after they cut down their respective trees. This resulted in my having to stand near them to continuously command them. Even then, half of them didn’t obey and just stood near me for no reason.
“Why are you still following me lads? Return to our ship, NOW!”
After spending a few minutes reordering the same command multiple times to get enough supplies, I ordered them to return to our ship. It would take longer, not to mention that I lost an NPC for no reason. Apparently, two of my deckhands were making their way, while the two in the video were stuck and not responding to commands. It’s strange that they’re just walking to the ship. Why don’t they just teleport after walking for 10 seconds? Do I also have to show them a path?
“Great, as if a whole tornado imbued with Lightning Magic weren’t enough…”
Lastly, once I made my way to the ship, I thought they had teleported back and used the “sail down” button to get the ship out of the tornado. I lost five men due to the poor mechanics and wasted my time. Obviously, I returned to the Nimbus Sea out of sheer frustration.
Did Vetex have this vision of constantly babysitting NPCs instead of letting them do their jobs? Or walking back to one spot instead of teleporting back to the ship? Wouldn’t that be useful for the latter?
