Context (NUT: Why did i make this?)
Simply saying, i think it’s annoying that we can’t really crouch in this game. We can walk, we can run, we can dash. But we can’t crouch. I, and perhaps some other people want this simple feature to be added.
Proposal, implementation
Crouching will be locked up (Can be changed via settings) to a specific button, which you can press anytime to trigger it. Crouching can be triggered in air and on ground.
While crouching, every nearby entity, aka NPCS, Bosses and other enviromental creatures will have their aggresion trigger 40% less effective, meaning you can sneak up to them much closer without them aggroing onto you. Your movement speed is also greatly reduced, and you cannot sprint while crouching.
Crouching also affects your movement, let’s call it “Burst movement”.
While crouching, you can press space to jump or do a dash (dodge) which will trigger a burst movement. A burst movement jump will be 50% higher, thus helping with certain situations while increasing the stamina cost only by 10%. Burst movement dashing (Dodge reflexes are NOT affected) travel 30% further and faster by a half, however they cost a lot more stamina to do so.
Different techniques and skills are also affected by burst movement, making them somewhat faster and sometimes stronger, it depends on the technique/skill used. Spells and Rites are NOT affected by this ()
You can press Crouching button in mid air which makes your character play a special animation where he prepares for the fall. If you pressed the crouch button exactly right before the fall (roughly 1 second before the fall), your character will also play another animation (basically the same fall like usual but aura farming) and you will take less fall damage (if it will EVER gonna be added) If you won’t do it in the right timing, well, you’ll take more damage in overall (from the fall) and your character will be stunned for roughly one second.
