I totally agree, like, ik this game have greek gods but it doesnt mean it HAS to be all greek related. And plus, naming our man Durza to a freaking genshin woman (Acheron) is kinda… i dont like it, i want durza!

Honestly, I think Drachma sounds way more pirateass and yarrcore.
On a related note, the Drachmae Pirates translate to “the Cash Pirates”.

I got whole silver fit in my backpack, not wearing it just for the sake of tyberians attacking me

No they don’t :sob: drachmae is just the plural of the currency. It’s like “the dollar pirates” or “the yen pirates” not “the cash pirates”

What’s the difference? Drachmae is cash.

Well it doesn’t translate into anything lol if they were named the yen pirates or the pound pirates or the won pirates you wouldn’t say that translates to the cash pirates

I meant it like a conceptual translation, not language.

how u already have silver when its not even out yet

drachma balls on your face

ooooh nice to see some WoM stuff from you! I like her outfit, what culture is she from?

RANT TIME!

Drachma as a name makes no sense in the Lore. Drachma being an Ancient Greek Currency, which is still used to AO makes ZERO sense when you realize the first sentences in the Lore Doc, which is Y1 = 100 AD.

If you know anything about history, you would have realized 100 AD is a time when the Roman Empire (and before the Empire, the Republic) had held Greece for several centuries. Greece by 100 AD was an entirely ROMAN province, who considered themselves Roman, and not “Greek”. So this is point 1 for why Drachma as a name would not have been used.

To continue on with the previous point, ‘Greek Identity’ is not a real thing until our world’s 1800’s, when the “Greeks” (of modern day) revolt against the Ottoman Empire, and establish a “Greek Identity” to conflict with that of the Muslim Turks. The Greeks prior to this had exclusively called themselves ROMAN, and this had been true since their initial conquest by the Romans, the establishment of the Byzantine Empire/ Eastern Roman Empire, and the conquest by the Ottomans.

There are registered stories of Greeks on isolated Islands STILL calling themselves ROMANS even up until the Balkan war in 1912 AD.

TLDR: Drachma as a name makes no sense, Vetex lowk did no research, ts pmo :raised_hand: :rage:
