Curse users: Magic form

Magic form

Actually we know thats Curse users can’t be damaged with weapons and fightning styles right? But have you thought why? As far as we know from the lore and the battle with Curse users (Rupin, Arsen, Trigno) we know that they have a human form and magic, in magic form (combat form) they are invulnerable to weapons and fighting styles not related to magic, but not did you wonder that Curse users also somehow have to replenish their magical energy. Given that they take the form of their curse, it is possible that they take energy from the environment directly, but in a different way and not like the player (the player charges his energy storage while stopping and not moving at the same time), with this option everything is useless.

Exhaustion Theory

Well, to the point, if there is some kind of limit, or the energy in the atmosphere can be exhausted, then in this case, with a very long and exhausting battle, the enemy using weapons or fighting styles can, so to speak, exhaust the enemy to such a state that he cannot will transform into its magical form, thus giving you a moment to attack for a short while, since as far as we know from experience with Ramses II, a Curse user outside of his magical form can be injured or even killed by a weapon or fighting style. In practice, this option is not possible due to the disproportionate strength of the Curse user and the weakness of the weapon and combat style users, but even so, it is possible someday purely logically this will happen. So if you are a very strong user of weapons or fighting styles, then fight for hours and days until your opponent loses his magical form, and until then just block and dodge all attacks.

Ah yes, my least favourite part of the lore: Curse users being immune to the most accessible forms of power.

That’s works only when they are in their magical form, proofs: We can damage Ramses II cuz he wasn’t able to transform cuz of unbound curse. That’s why I made this theory.

So any curse user who didn’t transformed before hit, will receive damage.

Lol.

just have energy curse ez

Hadn’t actually thought about that since curses (specifically the non-external curses) are my least favourite part of AU lore. They’re both overpowered and boring, and, unlike the Lazarus Curse, they don’t seem like something out of mythology.

But yeah, that makes sense - they probably aren’t literally composed of their curse element but can simply transform into their curse element somehow.

Huh. I had always assumed that they somehow didn’t require magic energy to use their cursed techniques, but it’s not like it was an educated assumption or anything. Upon further inspection though, they probably do require magic energy, since they would be way stronger than everyone else if they didn’t.

Eh, I mean, if the weapon isn’t magical at all, the fighting style or weapons user might as well be flailing their arms at the curse user. If the curse user isn’t particularly keen on killing them, they could just leave and close the door behind them, and the weapon user can’t do a thing about it.

There’s also the fact that curse attacks aren’t necessarily magic attacks, and also the fact that, according to the lore document, Sea Curses take significantly less skill or willpower to be used, thus the likelihood of a Curse User tiring out before you is probably slim unless you’re significantly stronger than them.

Though, thanks to basic human psychology, this might turn out to be an advantage. Since most people are lazy as hell, the average curse user probably doesn’t train as fervently as a mage - there isn’t much reason to. They can do just as much as a mage of an equal level with like 1/2 the effort. So, they’re probably weaker in things like physical endurance, stamina, and mana control. So you just have to survive their rampage while they’re in their magic mode, and you very well may win.

That’s just guess work though. Maybe the chances of the average lazy person surviving while having a curse is low, since they’d basically have a target on their back. Maybe the curse users that are still around are the ones that had the strength to never flop over something stupid like that.

This theory prove the fact thats Curse users in AO maybe exist and could be defeated, but only if something we talked about will happen.
